I DO hate abortion.
The very thought of it turns my stomach.
It breaks my heart.
But I am a practical man, and a voting-age citizen, with a mind of his own.
I am not bound to any one group, Party, church, or dogma.
I know the practical outcome if abortion were to become legalized.
I cannot bring myself to wail and blubber over intangibles and fairy tale worlds where all babies are adopted, and no tiny child is lost in the foster care system, or beaten to death by a parent or parents who don't have the brains, money, income, or desire to properly raise that child.

They are babies, and not I do not think killing them is ok.
I only think that it is a sad fact of life in these United States in the 21st century.
It is legal in this country, and has been for many years.
I had nothing to do with it becoming legal all those years ago, and as much as it saddens me, there is no amount of blubbering and caterwauling that is going to cause it to all of a sudden become illegal again.

Yes, my daughter did become pregnant, over seven years ago.
And even though the father of the baby was a undependable jackass, I supported her having the baby, because it was her decision, and she had made that decision weeks before she called me up and told me that she was pregnant.
She is a fantastic young woman, a wonderful mother, and a great person. And it goes without saying, my granddaughter is just the greatest little kid in the whole wide world.

Don't be so sure. Some life's lessons are slow to sink in. You may be walking around the grocery market aisles one day soon, and *bam*, it will hit you like a blinding flash of the obvious, "oh wow, everything is not black and white, there ARE grays in life".

I learn something new every day. Some good things, some bad things, and some really unexpected things. I am a growing and evolving entity.

Abortionists use two arguments to try to justify abortion:
First, that the unborn baby is not worthy of human life, and second,
that the mother has a right to kill a human life when it is inside her.
