Default Iran's President: "We Are a Nuclear State"

We have to bomb Iran's nuclear facilities. How can anyone even be considering diplomacy with this person's government?

TEHRAN - Iran's hardline President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad vowed that his country "will not bow to injustice and pressure," the day before a UN deadline to stop sensitive nuclear work expires. "Thanks to God, we are a nuclear state," the firebrand leader said in a speech in the west of the country. "We will not bow to injustice and pressure. If they want to attack the rights of the Iranian people, we will stamp shame and regret on them."

Calling Iran a "nuclear state", of course, means that Iran is at least partially dropping its pretense (which I never believed anyway) of wanting nuclear energy for peaceful purposes. What sort of regret does this monster plan on "stamping" on his enemies, moreover? We have to bomb Iran very soon or Iran, based on this leader's statements, will hide Iran's nuclear facilities from the U.N. and so make targeting them more difficult.

Default Rice is correct

the UN needs to act. If they don't, then the US will be justified in doing things on their own on this and similar issues going forward. This can be a test case, the final test case in fact.

Default .

Even before it could make an atomic bomb, Iran, which gives weapons to terrorists more than any other country, could easily give Hamas or Islamic Jihad, for example, the material for a dirty bomb. The United States needs to be measuring everything for an attack now, which it can call off in the unlikely event that the UN takes effective action.

Exactly. So much for the "pretense" of it being for peaceful purposes. We KNOW that's not true.

Sound the alarms! What we have here is a complete nutjob, a madman..... a madman I tell ya! I mean, the guy is actually resisting injustice instead of taking it up the ass nice and passively like a scared dog.

Everyone else here sees the pattern I have recently been warning other posters about, Catholic. I have a feeling that you want Iran to have nuclear weapons- not because you like Iran but because you hate Israel.

I don't hate anyone, in fact, people like me are often portraid as rightwing mlitant types, but all we are doing is fighting for peace, fighting bloodshedd, whereas the political correct/pro-semitic group is the one advocating death. My people may not be political correct all the time but we sure act correctly and properly, we respect life and to me that's the ultimate form of respect, much better than manipualted respect otherwise known as political correctness.

But tell me, what exactly is wrong with his comments? What should he have said? "Iran is going to bow for pressure and injustice, we will bow down, Israelis are above the law, their nuclear sites must never be be inspected, but ours MUST be bombed."
