But the title of the article is “Iran-backed Shiites admit Baghdad bombing, U.S. says”. The troop reduction part is ¾ of the way down. This was buried on page 6 of the Sunday, November 25, 2007 Arkansas DEMOCRAT-GAZETTE.
http://www.nwanews.com/adg/National/208665/print/ “After battlefield successes against Sunni insurgents, the U. S. has begun withdrawing the 3 rd Brigade, 1 st Cavalry Division. It will be the first brigade not to be replaced since top commander Gen. David Petraeus announced plans to reduce troop levels by July if security continues to improve. Col. David W. Sutherland of the 3 rd Brigade Combat Team, whose soldiers have been working in Diyala since last November, said all 5, 000 of his troops would be gone by mid-December.” How did I miss this? Where is this in the major media? This can’t be right!!!
