Gee, Dr. Syn, where should we start. Abandoning missle defense in Poland to please the Russians and not even telling the Poles. Why should he tell them? In his view they are nothing and he, personally, is everything. How about his treatment of Honduras when they dared to displease his buddy Hugo Chavez and not allow Chavez's sock puppet become permanent dictator. Of course, that is President Obama's dream. How about his public statements that he will "rule" by reuglation and will bypass Congress. Every other President has worked with congress whether it was their party or not or friendly or not but not the incompetent in the White House. He's special. How about his declared wish to bankrupt the coals companies, cause energy prices to skyrocket, and his willingness to raise taxes even if it causes a reduction in tax revenues.
Then there are his statements like Americans are lazy--I think he said that from the golf course but I'm not sure--and that we love our guns and our Bibles. Me, I'm an atheists but his slurs against Americans, even blacks who stray from the plantation, insulting.
But, I suspect you don't. Your love of the left trumps any concern you have for the country.
I will repeat that a narcissist like President Obama could not be an observant Moslem because he can't conceive of a being greater than himself but I don't think heathens can attend a madrassa and Barack Obama, before he was Barack Obama, did attend a madrassa in Indonesia. I also think the Moslems have a law that once a Moslem, always a Moslem.

Make up your mind please!! First you claim Obama is a secret Muslim because he tries to avoid wars with Muslims(he doesn't really), but then you claim he is a war-monger who kills too many Muslims(he actually is). Make up your mind please!!!
PS. It would be difficult for Obama to be more pro-Israel. At every turn he has continued American support for the immoral actions of the Israeli state, and yet he is anti-Israel? There is some sort of disconnect here!! I suppose in the right wing world, if you ever even hint at anything but full support for Israeli crimes, you are anti-Israel.

The essence of any utopianism is: Conjure an ideal that makes an impossible demand on reality, then announce that, until the demand is met in full, your ideal can't be fairly evaluated. Attribute any incidental successes to the halfway meeting of the demand, any failure to the halfway still to go.

I think the left is relentless and unremitting. The only way to deal with them is to keep them busy while the processes of history grind down the Blue Model. They're running out of money.

The center-left was doing great for a long time!! We had prosperity unmatched in human history under center-left policies. Over the last 30 years however, the center-left has been under attack by neo-liberalism. The result being the recent collapse of the economy. There is some truth to the neo-liberal critique, that neo-liberal reforms DO tend create higher growth rates. The problem is, they also increase wealth concentration and increase the instability of capitalism. Or actually I should say, they remove the mechanisms the center-left uses to decrease the instability of capitalism(since capitalism is inherently unstable). The center left is the only hope for capitalism. If it loses out, some other model will need to be found and applied.

The center left model only truly succeeded during the era of Pax Americana. There was a correlation between the two. With the end of Pax Americana the Blue Model runs out of money. I don't see any way out of this dead end for the center left.
Much of the manufacturing base is gone forever. Surely the public school system cannot be counted on to restore America's declining reservoir of human capital. This era is coming to an end. Something new is coming. I don't know what it will be.

What Obama did was exactly the right thing to do.
Rather than let the US get dragged into another expensive conflict why not let Israel deal with it. It is mostly their problem and Netanyahu does not want to listen to what the US has to say anyway.
Obviously Israel wants to go after Iran (right wrong or otherwise). Netanyahu has stated that he will not give the US warning.
We have bases all over the region and it would not be good if missiles were raining down on those bases because Iran thinks the US is attacking.
Why do we have to be the nanny for every dispute that happens to arise throughout the globe ?
If Iran and Israel want to go to war .. let them and make sure that Iran knows we do not want to be involved so they don't send hundreds of missiles at our bases in the region.
