Semmie?

Thought I recognized you.

The Mods over there gave me the boot for saying somebody was part of the "lunatic fringe." I'm allowed back, but F them.

Obviously, there is a collective; the rights of which were fought for by people called "federalists" who also framed the constitution, if you'll recall.

That's the flaw in the "one interpretation" argument of the constitution; there were two sides to the debate then, and they intended that debate, the role of government, to be essential to the best government.

Look, I'm a pragmatist on guns. Far away from cities, gun restrictions don't make sense.

But, in a city like DC, the proliferation of weapons would only lead to the proliferation of gun use.

And there's no wholesome gun use in a city.

(save range shooting)

We're turning this into a liberal-libertarian debate, enh?

Honestly, I wish you liberts would get your stuff together, so that our debates are actually the discourse of the country.

Debating with fallacious republicans gets very old.

Well, we're trying. A lot of us are actually moving back into the Republican party due to the grassroots build up of Ron Paul supporters to start influencing that party. There is a fierce battle still taking place for all those delegates. I'm not saying Ron Paul is going to pull off an upset, but he is making a difference. You've now got Ron Paul Republicans like Sabrin running for U.S. Senate. You've got numerous other Republicans of that mold running for Congress. Things are going to get very interesting in the next 20 years. I just hope we have time to save the country from the Neocons.

I was allowed back the first time, but I have the same opinion as you. Why deal with their idiocy when I can post on boards that don't have paranoid, psycho mods? There are greener pastures out on the net. Actually, 4Liberty and Cerran were posting here at one point. And Calgary Libertarian. I've spoken with Cubster quite a bit since she was banned. I think she's taking a break from forums in general. She was also banned for the private message thing, which was totally laughable.

My only regret is that I miss quantummystic. That guy rocks.

But there were aspects that were never intended to be up for debate... That's what the collectivists won't admit.

It's a self-defense issue though. People have a right to defend their lives and property in the city as well as in the country. If criminals know this, then there will be less crime as a result of that fear.

As I've said; I think Ron Paul stands to be a goldwater-type figure, in his defeat; meaning he's inspired like-minded Republicans.

And while I disagree with him (and you) on the role government, I respect the fact that you have a sound philosophical framework, not a heaping pile of morally relative apologism.

Yeah, it seems to be quite the little power-hungry clique of mods over there; if they want to ban me, they can stop benefitting from the free content I give them.

This site has some nice features; seems dominated by Republicans, which is fun.

Although, a "market watch" link recently got caught by their profanity filter. Took me a second to figure out why, lol.

I'd imagine we'd disagree somewhat on what those aspects are.

At what point does an individual's self-defense clash with the collective? Does an individual have the right to keep nuclear arms? What about biological arms?

Banning guns increases crime.

Gun Control's Twisted Outcome
Restricting firearms has helped make England more crime-ridden than the U.S.

We had a pretty detailed debate on that one several months ago.
