Default Iraq Success Update: Embassies Reopening in Baghdad

MANAMA, Bahrain - Bahrain's state-run news agency reports that the tiny Gulf state is getting ready to open an embassy in Baghdad.

The Bahrain News Agency quotes the foreign minister as saying the island kingdom "is in the phase of naming an ambassador" to Baghdad.

Bahrain would be the second Gulf country to announce sending an ambassador to Iraq since Saddam Hussein's fall following the United Arab Emirates.

On Thursday, Emirates' foreign minister announced in Baghdad that his nation is to send an ambassador next week. Many countries have diplomatic missions but no ambassador in Baghdad.

Now...if this isn't a sign of success, I don't know what is. Iraq is more stable than ever and Barack Hussein Obama is yet to even set foot down on it since 2005. We will probably visit on vacation before Obama vists.

no, as a US Senator I expect him to know what is going on around the world. That includes visits to the hot zone. You see individuals like Hillary Clinton, john mccain, arlene specter, joe lieberman...these people don't seem to have any issues visiting iraq, even when Mrs. Clinton is opposed to it.

You only see the truth by actually visiting an area. The MSM is so full of crap, that whatever they say is usually false.

Obama should have gone at least 5 times by now. Maybe when he goes, he will see that the troops don't want to leave, that they want to finish the mission and never retreat.

The US never retreats...never, ever. Always on the offensive.

If Obama doesn't pullout like a wimp and we win in Iraq watch the liberal media give him credit for the surge and success.

I know several soldiers who have been to Iraq and none of them would agree with that statement.
