So your arguement can be summed up with this...

The translation presented by IRIB has been challenged by Mr. Arash Norouzi, who proposes that the statement "wiped off the map" was never made and that Ahmadinejad did not refer to the nation or land mass of Israel, but to the "regime occupying Jerusalem". He says that the Iranian government News Agency IRIB/IRNA translation is the source of the confusion:

So instead of destroying the land mass of Isreal, he wants to destroy the government of Isreal. That makes me feel so much better.

Of course, an insane dictator is still in power who teaches his people to hate South Korea, Japan, and the US, and who still has plenty of nuclear knowledge to share.

Seriously, has anything really changed?

Stop with the translation BS.

No one has attempted to spin this one....is this what I think?

"I must announce that the Zionist regime, with a 60-year record of genocide, plunder, invasion and betrayal is about to die and will soon be erased from the geographical scene"

-Mahmouds greatest hits pt I

BTW not arming known terrorist groups also very very helpful.

it's a prediction, a harsh prediction, but not a threatening.

he will be happy if someone could destroy the government of israel. yes, surely. but that's not "he wants to destroy the government of Isreal."

he will be passive in first sentence, on second, he's active. that's the difference.

praise W, our troops serving in the DMZ, Secretary Rice and her staff that were able to accomplish this.

This won't even make the news tonight b/c of the Rat media. Any accomplishments and victories for this country is a bad thing.

the comparison is... Accurate.

Because not only have our presidents talked about regime changes, they have also done it.

I give your leaders credit on this, they're expert at hiding their true intentions.
