Peace is not impossible. We just aren't sophisticated enough for it yet.

Depends what you mean by "peace." If you mean the end of wholesale, large-scale killing of people, then, yes, not impossible.

Very interesting and you have an example of such a peaceful society? sophistication has to have something to compare as I see it we are more sophisticated then our ancestors but have managed to kill more people in the last 100 years then in the entire history of the world.



Whose intelligence? When you say we are primitive you have to have something higher to compare to.

I don't see war as ever being an option. There should always be another way. A war of aggression is even worse. If we fire the first shot how can we say they are the evil ones.

good luck with that. the only reason humans got where we are now is because of our need to dominate by any means. if we didnt have the need to dominate we wouldnt have survived. it doesnt matter that were intelligent. it doesnt matter that were adaptive. none of that matters unless theres a drive behind it. to say that we can just stop making war is like saying that we can stop loving. as long as were human we will always fight for domination and power. and its whats going to keep us alive. i know the main question is wether or not were going to destroy ourselves but i doubt we will. theres no reason to do that.

bottom line.. its not gonna happen.

If dominating others is acheivement then we are in a sad state of affairs.

I think that with each bullet that kills we diminish ourselves. The ugly violence that grows in inner city neighborhoods where i live and the ugly hate that is cast out against people of every sort goes to tell me that we are not growing in love but developing in hatred and dealing pain.

What's your point? We can teach people, otherwise. Not everyone (obviously), but if the majority is for peace and equallity, those seeking to dominate by whatever means, won't have anyone to aid them.
