99% of the species that have existed on our Planet at one time or another, are now extinct.

To mantain peace be prepared for war.

War is cruelty. There's no use trying to reform it, the crueler it is the sooner it will be over

Freedom isn't free.

The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.

We make war that we may live in peace

There is no true victory, only a temporary lull.
We've gone from battling Facism, to Communism, to Totalitarianism and Terrorism.

The "ism" changes but not the underlying rationale..
and that is Pride.

This is a flaw in Humanity, I'm not referring specifically to the United States.

Indeed war is as envitable as peace.

Thats not a stupid philosophy but a pragmatic one. That picture is the consecuence for letting some one wage war against you not visa versa.

We won't be able to progress to such a level of sophistication where war is seen as absurd because before then, we are sure to be extinct either by our own hand or natures.

War has been with us for Millenia upon Millenia it is no more absurd then Peace.
