Default just to add a thought...

We shouldn't forget that back when Israel an Egypt were negotiating a peace agreement the Israeli's reportedly requested that the Egyptians take back the Gaza strip (that had been annexed after 1948 ) and they didn't want any part of it, same with Jordan and the west bank. Here's another angle to this question: should the onus be on Israel to establish a Palestinian state or should those countries ( Egypt & Jordan ) that had annexed those territories after the war in 1948 ?
Regarding Israel's "destruction" of the PLO don't forget that that occurred because of the refusal/inability of the PLO to confront(or control) Hamas and Hezbollah.
There are quite a few good ideas here regarding potential scenarios for a final peace agreement, and I think the vast majorities of both sides desire that, but the cycle of violence that the intifada has created and Israel's sometimes reckless reaction to it.As well as the lack of a regional desire to help contribute to a solution (Re.:Egypt, Syria, Jordan) and those that promote the terrorists (Syria and Iran ) makes it appear as if no one in the Arab world truly wants to help find a peaceful solution.

Some members of my family believe that Palestine and Israel should be nuked. That, however is not my personal view.

Default Solution

Were solving it on our own, the amount of suicide bombings has dropped to almost 0 over the past 6 months, the West Bank is quiet because of the wall and our border checkpoints. Only in Gaza and from Hezbollah in Lebenon do we have a problam, in Gaza we have 45,000 troops ready to go in and clear out the terrorist strongholds, we have strengthened our border to the North against Hezbollah, and in Gaza no terrorists can get out so they fire rockets and mortar rounds into us, and since we evicted the settlers the Palestinians have more range for their weapons and are firing deeping into our territory, but if we keep vigilant we can end the Palestinian terror threat for good.

Default i have

a strong opinoin in this mater.....maybe u think im on israeli side....well for the obvious reason..but.....israel will not have a situation where she give's away land just to have more terror.....we gave gaza....now it's the pals move.the hamas is a strong movemnt,,,if mahmoud abas(abu mazen as we call him) cannt disarm the hamas, which calls israel complete destruction, israel cannot trust the pals.of course there are no not-guiltis in this war but we did all we can do...the israeli people cannot stand and watch explosion's in tel aviv and see no reaction from our goverment.
when pearl harbur was attacked, could america just stand quiet and try to make peace with the jap's?no way......9/11....of course the iraq invaison was wrong, but if bush wouldn't have responded and wouldn't attack afghanistan, america's people would have furios.....same here.........plus the hamas see's no reaction from israel, and think's he finds a weak point...we tried to stop reacting but they kept attacking..........
