Default Marijuana: Use in moderation

As anything should be, marijuana should be used in moderation.

Through my experiences, and the people I have met down the river of life, I have come to the conclusion that if everyone smoked pot semi-regularly (on weekends or once a month or something) the world woiuld be a much better place. Its when it gets abused that is the problem.

That is very true. How about if we have something like ration coupons, so nobody would be buying too much. I could live with that.

"That is very true. How about if we have something like ration coupons, so nobody would be buying too much. I could live with that."

idealistic, but i dont think itll work. Non pot smokers could sell their ration coupons, and people would complain that it sounded too much like soma rations or w/e

i think no drugs should be restricted. If you abuse it its your responsibility not to commit crimes under the influence, just like alcohol. The only way to combat drugs is through education. Not the lies about them we are fed today. Marijuanna does have many good uses. I would really appreciate some rational commentary on illegal drugs from the mainstream media, at least once.

All in all, its not the government's job to protect you from yourself.

The mentality of people that think drugs should be illigal is the same mentality that people have about gay marriage. These people really believe that someone doing drugs is going to somehow cause the society to fall apart, as though people don't have a mind of their own.

These people believe that if gays are allowed to marry, then that would cause others to turn gay (an epidemic would transpire). The same goes for people who use drugs. People believe that if drugs were legal, then it would cause others to turn to drugs. This is not true. People who want to do drugs will do drugs regardless of whether or not they are legal. The only thing that comes from making them illegal is that our jails get overfilled with drug users/dealers. Who flips the bill for keeping them in there? Tax payers. Some of the very same people who complain about taxes, are also the ones keeping drug users/dealers in jail.

Default A trend I see

The decline of society is not caused by drug use, homosexuality, pornography. OH, wait, uh, ya it is. My bad. I have the solution. What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Legalize it in Neveada(most everything already is anyway), then put a fence around the entire state so that no one could leave while they are under the influence. For that matter, combine Nevada and Oregon together, then you'll have more space for the influx of junkies. Think of it as the party state. What better place to live than somewhere that everyone has something in common. Then you can all destroy you lives and leave the rest of America safe for sane human beings.

There is only one party in Finland which supports the decriminalization of marijuana, the Green party. But the Greens other policies are absurd so...

Nobody will be smoking a legal joint in Finland for a long time.

If drugs became legal, teenage use of them would plummet.
