With Oil, Gas and Food prices at record highs and moving higher, Congress needs to show us that they care more about us, than they do about Millionaire Farmers, The Crazy Environmental Lobby that wants us to go back to living in huts, and the Big Oil interest that don't want any competition in their turf. Considering that the Farm industry utilizes more Illegals than just about any other industry, then you're 100% wrong. We would end up with even less food than now, leading to increased prices. Also, I'm talking about worldwide food shortages, not just the United States, the illegals are still people, they're still on this planet and they still need food.

The funny thing about the U.S. is we don't have any citizens that are willing to go out and work the fields, and at the same time they don't want Illegals doing the Job either, so what are farmers supposed to do, just let it all rot in the fields? People are so stupid.

The funny thing about claiming that the illegals are people too is that they also eat food. If they leave, less people will need food, and there would be far less strain on the system, and therefore, far less shortage of food, if there is any shortage at all.

They also drive. (Yeah, even though they can't get licenses. They don't care; they drive anyway.) If they leave, their cars and usage of our roads and gas leaves. With less demand for gas here, the prices will go down.

Dude, Commodities are set by World Wide Pricing, it has NOTHING to do with the local economy, if the people go back to Mexico, they WILL STILL EAT. In addition, THEY WILL STILL DRIVE, so it makes absolutely no difference in terms of consumption. Considering the fact that illegals not only farm food for THEMSELVES, they also pick the food that YOU EAT, then if they all leave, we will have a MUCH MORE serious food shortage.

Just because people leave the U.S. doesn't mean they disappear off the planet. Unfortunately, no one else throughout the world has such an advanced agricultural system like we have here. We produce FAR, FAR more food per acre than any other country in the world, so even if they go back home and work on the fields over there, they won't be producing anywhere near the amount of food that they do here.

We need to stop being idiots about this stuff and have a temporary worker program to accommodate these people, at the same time they need to have ZERO tolerance for Violent Criminals, and keep them out, and if they're here, deport them.

I don't care if Congress cares. I just want them to do what they are supposed to do and not do what they aren't supposed to do.

If you're talking about increasing regulations and taxes, then I hope they do nothing. If you're talking about deregulating the Oil, Gas and Food business, then THAT is what they need to do to bring down prices.

No intervention at all.

Problem is they already HAVE intervened with things like Ethanol Mandates, limits on Oil Exploration, Limits on what they can invest their profits on, Congress needs to get rid of all this excessive legislation and let the free markets decide what is the best course of action. This is what Ronald Regan did, and the price of Oil and Gas collapsed to half what they where when he took office.
