Default Oil Up $10: Largest Single Day Surge Ever

http://money.cnn.com/2008/06/06/news...ion=2008060614

The link is already old, oil gained $10/barrel in one day, 6/6/08. Is this even a problem? If it is, then what can we do about it? Can high oil prices lead us to invest more in alternative energy?

Maybe it's time to look at selective drilling at home with strict pollution and emission standards? They say that even if we start drilling now, it would take 10 years for that oil to come to market.

Is this a problem or not? Do we act?

Yeah, but this surge only brings oil back to levels it was at before it slid almost ten dollars.

Soros was recently warning of a crash in the oil prices, then they fell, now they're back up. I bet Soros is manipulating the oil market. If they find out he (or anyone) is doing so, I think they should forfeit all of their money and properties and that that stuff should be divided into equal shares to every soldier in the world that has fought against terrorism.

Drive less. I'll be looking to work from home when I can. My employer is also looking into changing the standard work schedule from 5 8's to 4 9's and an 8 with an alternating Friday off.

My employer is very large and is starting a campaign to allow us to move our office to the nearest location to our house. So instead of driving to the office I do now (20 miles or so), I will be able to work 1.5 miles away. Starts in a few months.

I hate biker riders who ride in the street (unless there is simply no other option). Bugs the hell out of me.

They are just tying to show off their spandex shorts.

Well, that part of your personality sure meshes with the Atlanta mindset. I'm scared to ride in the street in this town. I want to improve my health, not end it.

For me, it all depends on who's wearing them.
