Default Teaching Evolution and Creationisim in Schools

Teaching evolution in schools shouldn't even be in debate, people who deny it probably don't believe in gravity or the existence of germs either, but what i think should be under debate is the teaching of creationism in schools. I don't think that creationism should be taught in schools because religion and state should be kept separate and since creationism has no roots in reality, and that evolution has been proven again and again by the fact that bacteria are becoming resistant to our treatments. I think that children shouldn't be exposed to the poison that is religion, if you want to force your religious beliefs on your own child before they're old enough to decide for themselves whether or not they want to go to church, that's your prerogative, but don't try and do it to mine, especially in the sacred place that is our school system.

Creationism can be taught in school so long as it is discussed within a sociological setting, such as a class on theology. To portray it in any way as factual or scientific would be ludicris.

Default ,.,.

I can understand if they were to throw in one sentence that said something like, "Some people think that the universe and all living things are too complex to have occured randomly and that there must be a creator." But anything after that one sentence would require some type of religious supernatural explanation.

That's true. The main point is I think is it needs to be made clear that this is a scientific theory or that this is a religeous idea. If this is not made clear than these kids may take these theores or ideas as fact.
