SEATTLE, Washington (Reuters) -- A Washington state school district has banned Halloween parties during the school day because it says children dressed up as goblins and witches take time away from learning, officials said Thursday.

I really cant believe this.. This kind of thinking is turning kids into robots. It really sounds like something Heinz catchup lady would do to her kids, the freak!

I think it's ridiculous that you're suggesting John Kerry's wife is responsible for some teachers being pissed because the little snots wich are 95% of America's students today came to school dressed in stupid costumes which they just played with the whole time instead of learning anything.

You do know about Sarcasm right? And please livin up.... Lets not let the kids play... I mean they are kids, and shouldnt be allowed to be kids.. Hey, lets take away Christmas and the Easter Bunny too... I mean think of all the time thats wasted there that they could be learning.

Taking into consideration the nature of some posts here, sarcasm can be difficult to detect.

And yeah, we need to teach the little (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)s some discipline. They should get Christmas and the Easter Bunny if they earn Christmas and the Easter Bunny.

1) They deserve it because they are kids.

2) Discipline problems are because of parents.

3) And non-English speaking immigrants coupled with a government that babies THEM is the real reason our students our behind.
