Default 2006 Canadian Election

Well, I'm a Conservative, in fact I went to a protest against the Liberals and saw Paul Martin yesterday, the fact is, what party will you vote for, and if you can't vote what party would you vote for?

Here's all the 12 Federal Parties Of Canada:

Canadian Conservative Party
The Bloc Quebequos
New Democratic Party
Action Party
Marxist/Leninst Party
Canadian Communist Party
Liberaterian Party
Progressive Canadian Party
Christian Heritage Party
Marijuana Party of Canada
Green Party
Liberal Party Of Canada

P.S. For those of you who trully ask, the AAEVP, FPNP and WBP parties are new and will probably not get more than 1,000 votes, which is why I didn't bother listing them. For any supporters of these parties, I am sorry but you are a great minority.

Default Great

My riding is heavily Liberal. I like the Liberal party but I will be voting NDP, the local Liberal MP here, Joe Commuzi, has delivered nothing and really angered me when he voted with the Conservatives against same-sex marriage. It wasn't that I supported same-sex marraige or anything, its just the fact he voted against his own party, which angered Martin who made him resign from his cabinet seat. Seriously, just vote with your bloody party so you can keep your cabinet seat and have more influence, instead he screws everyone in the riding.

I see alot of NDP signs up here this year, hope we pull it out. The Conservatives have no chance in my riding, I am trying to convince my Conservative friends that if they want to punish the Liberals, vote for the NDP because the Conservatives are not a viable alternative in this riding, they just don't get alot of support.

I like the NDP platform, but it definitely lacks in support for the military. Layton using Bush for political points also doesen't sit well in my books. Overall though, being a university student, they look the most appealing to me this time around.

Default Okay

Peter Van Loan is in charge of my riding, and we're hoping he'll get re-elected, my riding has been heavily Conservative except for in two elections in the past 50 years, lol, I'm strongly apposed to same-sex marriage so I don't have anything against Joe Commuzi.

Though I'm not a Canadian, I am a conservative American, and I can see from afar how liberal policies are crippling Canada's economy and culture.

Actually, the Liberal government has produced a surplus for the last 13 years. In 1993, the federal debt was 70% of the GDP, the Liberals reduced it to 40% of the GDP by 2005. Not to mention the Canadian dollar has gained 22 cents on the U.S. dollar since 2002. Our unemployment rate is 6.5%, which is a 30 year low.

Canada has one of the strongest economies in the world, it is shocking that someone would believe otherwise.

I also don't know where you gather that our culture is being crippled. Canadian values are present in alot of our institutions and the CBC is doing well. We have an abundance of our own literature, music and art. The French language and culture is also thriving.

I cannot believe how full of BS some of you Americans are.

First off, half of the debt Canada has in the early 90s was made by Trudeau, second, Mulroney was looking at the big picture, sure he created the GST and sure he made a deficit, but do you realise how strong Canada's economy is because of free trade between the U.S.?

Default Conservative Party

Funny, the sponsorship scandel costed 3 dollars per Canadian, the Gomery report exonerated Paul Martin, and yet this is still a big issue.

This is unbelievable, especially when the Conservatives fiscal plan has a 22 BILLION dollar hole in it. Yet this massive hole gets 1 day of attention. Just great, if this ridiculous party gets elected we can basically count on another deficeit.

At least they won't last long, in the minority parliament no opposition party will prop up a phony budget.

Default Harpers Agenda!

Stephen Harpers Agenda:
- Send troops to Iraq (not a bad idea if the mission is given U.N. control)
- Sign onto Missile Defense (to benefit only the U.S.)
- Scrap a women's right to choose
- Scrap same-sex marriage
- Reinstate the death penalty
- Neglect public healthcare, while establishing privite healthcare
- Not create any national childcare spots
- Throw money at well-off Canadians and Corporations
- Ignore the fiscal imbalance
- Produce a deficeit, increase the national debt

Basically, Harper is evil. If you care about Canada vote for any canadidate that is not with the Conservative Party, even the Bloc would be a better choice.
