Default When GW is gone

You know, one of my biggest worries is who will be President after George Bush is gone. Will this next person go to the same extent to protect us from another terrorist attack? Even if it is a Republican, I am worried the protection will decline just enough to let a terrorist attack get through. I thought, who might do as much as GW is doing? Who will stretch our laws to the limit to make sure our own freedoms do not work against us? The only person I could think of was John McCain, or maybe Joe Lieberman. But after McCain's efforts against coerced interrogation, I'm not sure about him. That is one of the limits that I think should be pushed, considering that our enemies seldom adhere to the Geneva Conventions anyway.

Well, I'm not sure who you are for, or against, but I think everyone should be worried about who will take over after Bush is gone. It could mean life and death.

It worries me too, Matt.

Hopefully someone will turn up. I think it's McCain....but sometimes he scares me and I'm not real sure of him.

Default Blair is a lot smarter than Bush

Tony Blair, who promised an "orderly transition" upon leaving office, noted today that the people are upset with his party for its recent focus on political infighting, as distinct from paying attention to the business of running the country.

GW should take a hint (although, my guess is, he's probably either too stupid or too arrogant - or both - to do so).

Why? Do you realize what the odds are that someone could be a worse or more incompetent president? Sure, it's possible. But so is an alien invasion.

We already had an alien invasion. Ross "Ferrenghi" Perot.

I'll give you odds he was played by Armin Shimmerman.
