If...the dems take over, this is NOT the end of the world, not by a long shot. Why? Because despite alot of the perpetuated fear-mongering, on both sides, it will take alot more than just an election to make the sky fall.

Look, I REALLY have my doubts and concerns about what a democratic majority, in either house, might lead or amount to, but, one house alone CANT destroy the whole shin-dig, even if things really start to suck.

Simply put: if they gain power, then we should congradulate them, allow them their chance at leadership.....and hold their mutherfreakin' feet to the hottest gaw(*)(*)(*)(*) fire we can and fight them tooth & nail for each and every move they make and force them to earn any and every inch of success they go after!

Why? Because we are bitter? NO...because even though we might have lost power, that doesnt mean we have lost our voice or our concern and right to speak up and fight back tooth & nail for our values & concerns...just as they have done for the last 6 yrs!

Thats right, its not about "being nice and allowing them a free ride in the name of respect and bipartisanship", its about standing your ground for what you believe is right and if the opposition doesnt like it, make them fight for it, just as they have for the last 6 yrs.

Now, heres the best part...keep in mind, for the last several years, the dems have complained & moaned about how the repubs are screwing everything up, and have made MANY assertions and declarations about how they can fix things and will, if they JUST get the power they need.

So, here we are, on the eve of the begining of their new found power that they craved and desired soo much for for soo long. And when it is in their grasp, make them just as accountable as they have the repubs and make sure no dasterdly deed goes unpunished, no failed legislation goes unnoticed without them knowing they failed, and ensuring that they are held to the exact same standards & morals that they have accussed the GOP of not being able to live up to.

So, with that said, if and when the time comes tonight/tomorrow to hand over the reigns, let us ensure they are also reminded of the not-so-easy tasks at hand that they have been elected to fix.....and make sure they they either live up to their hype, or be held accountable next election for their inability to lead and get results!

Oh, and just in case ANY of them forgot just what they will be expected to get done, here is a "small" list of things that need some SERIOUS attention..... consider it Americas "honeydo list" for the new house majority!

The Democrats have been trashing this country since the 1850's. Nothing has changed, they will continue to trash it.
