No. 1, you'd be surprised. No. 2, do only interns make mistakes? If so, why are there so many blooper shows out there? Heck, CNN misspelled "sailor" the other night in a story about the guy plucked off his disabled boat in the Pacific. They spelled it "salior".

No one is outraged and it is just your assumption that is wasn't a mistake. If it was deliberate do you think CNN would admit it?

You clearly don't work wit words for a living. I do. Typos happen to everyone, especially people facing a tight deadline.

Heck, consider this:

Clearly, a deliberate error on their part to embarass, ummm.... themselves?

And maybe they deserve it. But to see a conspiracy when plain old human error easily explains it makes no sense. And getting outraged over such a minor event also makes no sense.

I guess you wouldn't know what he stands for if you haven't tried to find out.

Powell was a somebody before his presidential ambitions surfaced. To even compare Powell to Obama is laughable.

How do you figure that? Powell was a general in the US Army and I could be wrong, but I thought a US Senator was a somebody in this country.

Obama was a nobody until the media chose him and outside the media he still is a nobody.

Really? How did the media do that? Did they grab him while he was walking down the street and say, "Hey black boy we are going to make you President." Give me a break.

Just another good example of the media making news instead of reporting news.

Sounds more like the media giving someone an opportunity to cast his lot in the race and that someone is not someone you think should be in the race in the first place.

Peace.
Ya, Sup! Dey be tryin ta hold Obama back cuz he be black! Happen every time. (*)(*)(*)(*) crackuhs!

You were mad enough to e-mail them and demand that the person in question be fired. That just seems like an outsized response to me.

No, but what sort of standard is that?

It is more legitimate to assume there is no plot until a plot is proven, especially when the action is easily explained as a mistake. What did CNN hope to gain from such an obvious error?

Could it have been deliberate? Sure. Is there any evidence that it was? No. So ask questions? Sure. Spin conspiracy theories? No.

Just a couple of days ago, FOXnews had a caption during a story about nutrition:

KIDS ARE BAD FOR PARENTS DIET

Default *sigh*

Just what has Obama done to warrant time calling him the 'next president'? I'm baffled.

He wrote a book about himself, but so did Dennis Rodman and OJ Simpson but they didn't get a cover on time magazine with the title 'the next president'. Regardless, you'd have to question the motives and ego of someone who writes a 'memoir' (see Biography) of themselves no less, being in their 40s.... There are two chapters where Obama discusses being above the fray but he has yet to commit any action that would back his statements up.

He also beat Alan Keyes in an election but so did what's his face Sarbanes. That woman.. Bulkowski did the same a few years later, both in Maryland, but they didn't get covers with "The Next President". Hell, Bob Dole beat Alan Keyes and an entire field of Republican Presidential candidates and HE didn't get a cover on Time that said "The next President" either....

If beating Alan Keyes is a sign of political strength then so is beating the Detroit Lions by 30 points in the NFL would make you a Super Bowl contender. In the end it's all stawman.

Basically Dems love this guy because he's black and cute. There's nothing more to this guy than that, or nothing of substance that would lead me to believe otherwise. This guy is flavor of the week...
