Default Hillary won't run...

All signs right now point to a Kerry victory in November. Is it far from certainty? Maybe. A lot can happen in six months, but Kerry will have to screw the pooch pretty badly to lose.

I think that Dems realized how vulnerable that Bush would be this year, and that is why Gore didn't run again. I think that Hillary understands that 2012 will be a little late for her, especially if she's not on the ticket in 2008 as a Veep. For that to happen, she'd need a major major accomplishment.

I think that Hillary won't run. Kerry loses and the party is in shambles, maybe in 2008, but I doubt that would happen. It seems like being a powerful senator from a meaningful state is a pretty good gig, and she's got the job as long as she wants it.

As far as other women... I think that you have a hard time coming up with a list of more than 2 or 3 right now who you could talk about seriously. Hillary, Elizabeth Dole, and maybe Dianne Feinstein. But those are all stretches.

I think we'll have to wait another generation before we see a woman in the White House, save for veep succession.

Default what do you think of a female president

The idea of a woman president is OK. But the thought of having Hillary in office is a little scary. We may have already seen her as president. With all of the press reports while Bill was in office, one might suspect that she was the "Brains" behind the presidency and Bill was the image. The only other problem I see with a woman as president is that they would either be seen as weak and ineffective or overbearing and "beechy". This is the same problem they have in business

Default Why should we vote for another morally corrupt candidate?

Why should we vote for Hillary?

What would we as American's be accomplishing by voting for Hillary?

More lies, cover ups and blatent disceptions. The return to power of an ineffective administration. I thought change was needed.

Of all the great female role models out there, why can't there be a better choice than her or Rice. I would surely vote for a female president but not just to get a female into the presidency. I really don't care who they are just that they have a shred of moral fiber and the ability to stand up and be accountable for the choices they have made good and bad. Just once I would love to see a politician say "Yes I made the wrong decision, It was me and only me, and I have learned from that mistake." Find one, man or woman that can truthfully anwser a question without pointing fingers at everyone else and you got my vote.

Default ...

Well if you're a Democrat and want Hillary to be president you better hope John Kerry doesn't win this election. If he wins he will run for re-election in 2008. Then when his term gets over in 2012, a Republican is most likely to become president (based on past elections, usually Republican and Democrat back and forth, this is how the country stablilizes). But she will make a crappy president if she can't do her job as Senator in my state of New York. Ask any military guys and they like to call her "B***H" VOTE BUSH-CHENEY 2004

Default Actually,

Actually I think the best chance for a woman in office is the conservative ticket. Conservatives won't cross party boundary to elect a female. But I'm sure many moderate/liberal female voters would be torn if the opportunity presented itself. Bush taking Rice as VP would offer a nice change of scenery and give him a new look for a 2nd term. Hopefully one of fiscal conservatism and less preemption if he wins.

Default No.

OK....Hillary for President? HELL NO
Condie Rice? HELL NO

I am all for a female President.....but try and pick someone who actually has some shred of credibility. The fact is there need to be more female politicians out there, because from where I can see most of them are not very good. *cough* Katherine Harris.

Default I vote against Hillary, but for a different reason

Does anyone remember that Hillary was the MVP of the Republican party when they had their little reveloution back in the 90s and took both houses of Congress? That shift in Congress was largely a vote against her healthcare initiative.

If she wins in 2008, then the Democratic party will be reduced to its base and lose the middle completely. Since I do not trust the Republicans to have the office of president as well as control of both houses of congress anymore, I think this would be a disaster.

Whenever any one party has such a degree of unopposed control, then the pigs line up at the trough and taxpayer money flows to whatever special interest groups that support the party in power. George W did it with the Medicare reform bill when he gave away hundreds of billions of our taxpayer dollars to the pharmacutical industry and insurance industry and tried to give away more in the Energy Bill. Luckily it failed. Did you know the proposed energy bill was so riddled with pork that it had a provision for subsidizing a "Hooters" resturant in Shreveport. LA? Seriously, they jokingly called it the Hooters Bill for a while.

Since I do not trust the Republicans to take total control of 2012, I do not wish to see someone so capable of polarizing the country as the Democratic nominee in 2008.

Besides, Edwards is the smart pick anyway. He is a much better campaigner than Hillary.

Default ......

It's going to happen sooner or later and I don't see a problem with that. I will judge whether or not I vote for them based not on their gender but for their qualifications and apparent ability to lead this nation.
