I can't stand people that believe in something and think that therefore I too should believe in it. You know like people who used to be drug addicts or alcoholics, and maybe they led a real messed up life, got DUI's and what not. But now they found Jesus, and he's their new best friend who leads them down the path to "righteousness". And they now believe that they and a select few are saved, and the rest of the world will go to hell, unless they too come into the light of their savior. Born again Christians are a scary bunch if you ask me. I just thank God that some one like that isn't in power. Can you imagine if some one like that was President, and he let his extreme religious beliefs affect his decision making. Oh wait... Never mind, my bad.

Vote Bush out to preserve our separation of Church and State. I'm not saying religion is bad, or that it doesn't have a place in society, but it should not be forced down people's throats as Bush has been trying to do. I agree with Have-A-Voice

Have a voice, we already have people like that in power: Dubya and Ashcroft. You know, Ashcroft, the Missouri evangelical that got diselected by a dead guy (Carnahan).
As far as the belief that Jesus revisit and the temple whatever, that's the same poop that Cromwell and his Fifth Monarchy Men drove their ruthless campaigns on, and it's why there's been no peace in the Middle East. It's against those lunatics' religions.

Teen, you've not read the papers since Dubya got selected. It begins with the appointment of Ashcroft and I could write a book about all the stuff from there to date. And I'm not going to, just for you. Lemme give you a hint--you can't read your newspaper on a daily basis when you spend all that daily time online, on bulletin boards.
All you need to do is read ONE newspaper and you're already ahead of Dubya on the literacy index.

I don't see much in the newspapers about Bush forcing his religion on people. I WANT TO SEE PROOF. I will check all of this weeks papers to see, doubt there will be ANYTHING. Bush believes in his religion, whoopty-doo. SHOW ME PROOF TO MAKE ME BELIEVE YOU. I'm sick of all these comments with no proof.
Other posts by people say - - "People are afraid to voice their opinion" - My take: well it doesn't seem that way! There have been hundreds to thousands of protests against Bush and the war. Yea, the dumb ones get arrested for being violent. Show me proof how they are scared to voice opinion because I haven't seen anything about people being locked up for doing so. - "Bush is making American more religious" - My take: Nope! I haven't seen such a thing. Show me proof how he has, he's just one man. By the way, nice quote: All you need to do is read ONE newspaper and you're already ahead of Dubya on the literacy index. Though its a really old and dumb joke. I don't go around saying Al Gore flunked out of schools a few time and had "C" grades.

You're just too funny for words, Teen. Last week's papers, indeed.
If you calm down and re-read my posting, you'll see that you're gonna need to read all the papers since the beginning of the Bush regime, beginning with the appointment of Ashcroft. I will not write a book just for you, sorry. Try to keep up, OK?

I see that Ashcrost was appointed by Bush and he was an evangelist, but that really doesn't matter. He's not preaching to the American people.

The extreme left is better at sound bytes like "religous right violates seperation of church and state" then they are at providing actual proof. The blather sounds better I guess. In fact there is nothing of substance regarding Ashcroft violating the mythical seperation of church and state.
