I wonder if I'm the only Crat in Michigan getting this irritated about our stupid primary.
A while ago I advocated voting in the GOP primary for Paul... but the strategy only works with a lot of cooperation. So back to the drawing board.
Recently the Michigan Crats tried to force the candidates who boycotted us back on to the ballot. Shockingly to me, the Rpublicans blocked it. Should have expected as much. While us voting in their primary might be annoying... irritated, disaffected Crats are good for the GOP.

Political stunt after political stunt. All I know is that I am currently disenfranchised and I;m not the one who $@#%@ed up!
But the blame really does fall on Michigan Democrats for being so stupid in the first place. While I think the DNC wasn't smart in its response... it's still in the right. I can't logically punish the candidates for... keeping their promises.

So I'm left with a few options for attempting to make the best of this stupid situation.
1. Stay home on caucus day... actually I guess I have to work...(low stress option)
2. Vote in the GOP primary for John McCain (the only Republican I'd vote for).
3. Vote for Dodd in the Democratic primary (don't have to register as a Republican, get to show up in the numbers, get to back the best of whose left on our ballot)
4. Stay home on caucus day... Call into work. (not likely... but it would be most pleasant. On the other hand do I want to observe this stupid day as a holiday?)

Thinking more on it... it's stupid that states are involved in decision making for primaries. Primaries are tools for the parties. The parties should pay for them and set them up however they want. This being a presidential one should be set up by the national level of the party.
Why is our system so convoluted and ridiculous? We treat it like it's a real election when all it is is a way for parties to pick their best candidates for a real election.

I would vote for McCain if I were in your situation. Thats your best bet to hurt Guiliani, who I think we agree is a crazy neocon.
