... And a longtime family friend with a large store of politically valuable knowledge.

Give him a security clearance or official role? No. Kiss him off entirely? That's a bit much to expect from anyone.

An unprovable point, until it happens.

Giuliani seems to be skating past the arrests of most of his state chairmen.

Name the convicts in his presidential campaign.

This is very true. Blade has a good point here. It seems to me, that allowing a character like Sandy Berger into the "official" tent, was a very bad political move on Hillary's part. That's just low-hanging fruit, for some Republican 527 or something. I mean, Sandy's on the same level as a Feith - he's the next best thing to being an actual, real, traitor (you know, destroying national security documents is "pretty serious", that's not exactly "comforting the enemy", but that's like, "pretty serious") -

You know, and I mean, if it were legit, all Clinton had to do is what Bushie's doing now, which is basically to snap his fingers and point to it and say, "classified", and it happens. And I mean, same way with "unclassified", and even with "destroy the CIA video-tapes", right? As near as I can tell, the deep dark world of "national security" is mainly the Prez's call, subject only to some limited oversight by "very trusted senior Senators".

So I mean, why would a Prez send a Sandy Burglar to steal docs out of the archive and stuff 'em in his pants and every other place he could find? I mean, Jeez.... was we dressed all in black, and did he have one of those little black eye-patch things like on the cover of those Genesis albums?

Nah, that's a terrible perception. And I agree, that's right up there, with say, you know, if Rudy Giuliani were to go out and hire Jack Abramoff right now today, to do fund-raising.

I mean, if you're gonna associate with a guy like that, even if he's a "close family friend and a trusted advisor", you kinda wanna keep it "out of the public eye", right? You know, 'cause I mean, every one that the Prez is usually an idiot anyway - or let's rephrase that - he/she is usually some kinda "figurehead", and he/she usually depends on the "subject matter experts" in the Cabinet for the real skinny, so I mean, if your "advisors" are telling you "Psst... all you gotta do to get around the law, is just stuff these things into your sock", you know, or "hey, just wave your hands around a few Indian gaming laws", or something like that, I would think that this would be the kinda thing I'd wanna highlight in my "opponent", if I were trying to win an election. Yes?

Dude, Clinton wasn't president when Sandy Burglar stole the docs.

This shouldn't surprise anyone. The Clintons are criminals. Birds of a feather...
