Why is it acceptable for a man to show emotion and not a woman? Maybe JP5 or 12th Mom can weigh in on this one.

Are you referring to Mitt Romney's crying? I think the reason for the crying has more to do with whether or not it's "acceptable" than whether you are male or female, though the latter certainly plays a role.

I agree. I also think women have to fight the whole being emotional, not tough angle. It's assumed that the men are "tough", so crying is not as likely to seem wimpy (depending upon what it is you are crying about as you pointed out).

Yep, there is a big difference when Bush was crying with the parents of a dead soldier, than crying because you got your ass kicked in the Iowa, and New Hampshire primaries.

Cheney is the second executive officer to shoot someone in the face and chest. Clinton was the first.

I think she started answering the question normally with a lil emotion. Saw the emotion was playing in that room and calculated showing more would benefit her with those who support her.
For the most part she was right.
