I think the use of "Forward" is less startling to the average American than, say "Arbeit Macht Frei".

"Fast and Furious. Benghazi. IRS. AP Phone Scandal."
"What are the events that led to President Obama's impeachment? Alex"
Well the nutters are our in farce today, now the word "Forward" is Marxist, and apparently everyone who uses it....
If god is omnipotent and omnipresent, shouldn't we just let him deal with the gays? He seems more equiped to deal with his own business.

With their infernal racial set-asides, racial quotas, and race norming, liberals share many of the Klan's premises. The Klan sees the world in terms of race and ethnicity. So do liberals! Indeed, liberals and white supremacists are the only people left in America who are neurotically obsessed with race. Conservatives champion a color-blind society. -- Ann Coulter

The internet is like a herd of performing elephants with diarrhoea -- massive, difficult to redirect, awe-inspiring, entertaining, and a source of mind- boggling amounts of excrement when you least expect it.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/blog/...ism-socialism/The Obama campaign apparently didn't look backwards into history when selecting its new campaign slogan, "Forward" — a word with a long and rich association with European Marxism.
Many Communist and radical publications and entities throughout the 19th and 20th centuries had the name "Forward!" or its foreign cognates. Wikipedia has an entire section called "Forward (generic name of socialist publications)."
"The name Forward carries a special meaning in socialist political terminology. It has been frequently used as a name for socialist, communist and other left-wing newspapers and publications," the online encyclopedia explains.
The slogan "Forward!" reflected the conviction of European Marxists and radicals that their movements reflected the march of history, which would move forward past capitalism and into socialism and communism.
The Obama campaign released its new campaign slogan Monday in a 7-minute video. The title card has simply the word "Forward" with the "O" having the familiar Obama logo from 2008. It will be played at rallies this weekend that mark the Obama re-election campaign's official beginning.
There have been at least two radical-left publications named "Vorwaerts" (the German word for "Forward"). One was the daily newspaper of the Social Democratic Party of Germany whose writers included Friedrich Engels and Leon Trotsky. It still publishes as the organ of Germany's SDP, though that party has changed considerably since World War II. Another was the 1844 biweekly reader of the Communist League. Karl Marx, Engels and Mikhail Bakunin are among the names associated with that publication.
East Germany named its Army soccer club ASK Vorwaerts Berlin (later FC Vorwaerts Frankfort).
Vladimir Lenin founded the publication "Vpered" (the Russian word for "forward") in 1905. Soviet propaganda film-maker Dziga Vertov made a documentary whose title is sometimes translated as "Forward, Soviet" (though also and more literally as "Stride, Soviet").
You have to love how foolish, and uneducated this administration is. Either that or they want to use a socialist, marxist slogan as their own?

What a stupid thread. Every election there's some candidate promising to move us forward to the future, how can such a common and appropriate word be considered a radical plot?
Just for the record, the new slogan also has long ties to the front portion of ships.
“What is it you most dislike? Stupidity, especially in its nastiest forms of racism and superstition.”

As the Op aptly stated: either the Amd. is grossly under-educated in matters of politcal significance, or they DELIBERATELY chose a WELL-KNOWN SOCIALIST BATTLE CRY to be the "New Motto".
Just like the "coincidence" that Obama's 2008 imagery was a DIRECT IMITATION OF MAOIST posters, etc.
