The lack of understanding on current events is astounding.
The so called 'Obamacare' does not include the govt taking over the health care system. It never has and it never will.
We have had a 'consumer based' health care system and it has FAILED, why on earth do you think suddenly it will become a success?

Under the reforms passed by Congress, and up held by the court, you WILL be able to choose your health care, just like always. It will, in theory, cost you less and the insurance companies won't be able to drop you if you screw up and get sick.
    It's a win win.
I'm not sure how the right wing propaganda machine has been so successful in fooling so many people time after time but seriously, on something this important I would think each of you would open your eyes and look at a source that hasn't consistently lied to you in the past.

  3. Default I Am Never Voting Again

The Congressional, Executive, and Judicial branches of government have been de facto privatized. They do what their campaign donors and lobbysist want them to do. Did I say "want?" I'm sorry, I meant "ask," with a capital $. In the meantime, we, the taxpayers, pay their salaries, their health care, their retirement, the "official" trips {sic}, their plane rides back and forth from their districts (golf courses), their endless vacations, the products they advertize on their official "news" organs on the corporate media (products mostly made overseas)....and then when they get voted out, or retire because they "miss" their families (I guess those second homes in Washington we pay for aren't cozy enough for the kids), they turn around and become lobbyists for even more money so they can work to overturn the very laws they helped enact.

If you want to make a choice between corporate enslavement or government enslavement (who work hand-in-hand for their own profiteering, and pretend not to) then have at it.

In the meantime, our government politicans get first-hand stock tips and profit from that, too.

You didn't need to put me on a voter suppresion list, I volunteered for it.

The lack of understanding of Obamacare is astounding. Yes it does involve government taking over the health care and health insurance system dictating to both the terms and coverages under penalty of laws and fines and "taxes".

Under the reforms passed by Congress, and up held by the court, you WILL be able to choose your health care, just like always.
No you won't and the health insurance companies will have it dictated to them what they must provide and what they can cover. You will NOT be able to buy a high deductable cheap policy and self insure yourself for minor health requirements in fact you will not be able to self insure yourself at all.
It will, in theory, cost you less and the insurance companies won't be able to drop you if you screw up and get sick.
And that was a total myth told by the Democrats, cost WILL go up and you will be screwed by the government.

I'm voting for Romney because I think Obama is 1) dishonest 2) spends too much.

"Everyone supports health care reform, the question is do you support Obamacare and the mandate that forces everyone to buy insurance and the government taking over the running of the health care system or do you support a more consumer based system where you still have the freedom to choose your health care."

    Yes,I support the PPACA.

"But are you in favor of steep tax increases as Obama is running on in the belief that will increase revenues or in favor of growing the economy and putting more people back to work paying taxes as a means of increasing government revenues?"

In favor of letting some of the Bush tax cuts expire.

"Or deep cuts to the military although I have seen no proposals from either side to change the projected spending."

Yes. The $500B defense cuts agreed to by Dems and Reps in Congress last year are sufficient.

    "and privatizing SS/Medicare.
So you are in favor of doing nothing since Obama has proposed NOTHING?"

    Yes

"The next POTUS will get to nominate one, maybe 2 SCOTUS justices. I sure don't want any more Scalias,Thomases or Alitos on the Court.
You prefer justices who do not believe the Constitution is what dictates what laws should stand or be rejected?"

That's correct. I do not prefer justices in the mold of Scalia,Thomas or Alito.

In favor of letting some of the Bush tax cuts expire.
Why when they produced higher revenues to the treasury and shifted more of the tax burden on the upper incomes?

Yes. The $500B defense cuts agreed to by Dems and Reps in Congress last year are sufficient.
Which over the timespan are nothing compared to what healthcare is going to cost the taxpayer.

    Yes
So just let them go bankrupt?
