Default Ron Paul Band Wagon

Has anyone noticed that in the recent republican debats that the other candidates all have started to adopt Ron Paul's views about abolishing the IRS. Just like Mike Huckabee did in the Florida Debate. 2 months ago NO ONE was sayin that except for Ron Paul. The all had there idea's about lowering taxes, but not about abolishing the IRS. Doing away with it for good.

WHY IS THAT........ THERE SCARED. Ron Paul was getting (*)(*)(*)(*) for media coverage. Now that he, and he's starting to take off, people are starting to open there eyes to his views and policies about Taxes, Immegration, spending, so on and so on. The other candidates are freaking out because of how people are responding. There are staring to see that he ALONE is the only logical choice for the next President of the U.S. He is the only one that can and will keep the country form turning into a 3rd world slum. Because if it keeps at this pace, in 10-15 years if not sooner we'll be there.

I liked your post, but I don't agree with this point. If they were logically minded, we wouldn't be in this mess. That's just the problem - the vast majority of them think Ron Paul's logical ideas are crazy. They may indeed see the popularity of the ideas among Republicans, but that's all they care about. They're not honest, so they are simply being deceptive when they speak positively about such ideas. They just want to use it to gain a little more support and win, and then they will go back to their collectivist statist ways.

But from our standpoint - those who truly understand the issues - yes, he is the only logical choice in the Republican primary.

I registered as a Republican, specifically so I could vote for Ron Paul.

Believe me, these days, there's no other reason I'd want to be a Republicant!

This is like a Ron Paul mantra. The polls all have him flat-lined at less that 5% from the beginning. I know - it is all a conspiracy .

Irrational? LOL. Appeal to the Majority is always a logical fallacy. Doesn't matter who's going to win. You vote for the candidate who best represents the principles you want to see in office. And who you believe, based on all the evidence you can obtain, that they're honest about their stands on the issues.

I bet the dumba$$es who voted for Nader in Florida in 2000 wish they hadn't voted for the candidate that best represented their principles. If they hadn't and voted for Gore we would have wound up with perhaps the most environmentally friendly president in US history instead of Bush's pro-oil crap. I caste my vote in the way that I believe will be best for our country.

The more I see of Paul, the more I think he's a nutjob. And, the same holds true of his mindless followers.

Cat your trying to say Ron Paul is a nut job. You have got to be a liberal ass democrat. He's about fixing the problems with this country and you calling a nut job. Your the nut job. Do you even read and understand what he's about. You must not. You must be the type of person that like High taxes, the IRS taking 3-4-5 hundred dollars of the money you earned ever pay check. You must like having 12 MILLION illegal immagrants in our counrty, you must like the fact that are ecomony is heading toward a recession. You must like our country spending almost 1 TRILLION dollars on a war that should have been over long ago. He is the only person in the race that can change all that. but he's a nut job.

yep, count me as one who could not find the stomach to cover my eyes and vote for gore. and if given that same option today, with the benefit of knowing how awful dubya has actually been, i would still not vote for gore.
Albert Gore, Sr., is different altogether. would have voted for him in a skinny minute. he stood for something. he was authentic. but junior saw how his father was voted out of office because senior had the courage of his convictions (opposition to the viet nam war in pro-war tennessee) and it appears junior decided he would never stand for anything because he wanted to stay in office.
dubya is a problem, al gore jr is NOT the solution
