Default Obama Administration Grants Fla Access to Database to Verify Voter Rolls

Not because they wanted too, of course. But because of a court case that makes it inevitable that they must do so. They've been blocking this action for months!!! Can you imagine??? This administration doesn't want illegals to be purged from our voting rolls???? I'm pretty sure that other border states, including mine will be requesting the access as well; if they haven't already done so.

Administration grants Fla. access to database to verify voter rolls

The Obama administration has agreed to let Florida use a national law enforcement database to purge residents suspected of not being U.S. citizens from their voter rolls.

The decision was announced in a letter to state GOP Gov. Rick Scott, who has pushed for Florida to receive access to the Homeland Security (DHS) registry of noncitizen residents, the Associated Press first reported.
The administration had blocked Florida’s request for access to the database for months, but the decision to allow access was spurred by a court decision in another voting-rights case in favor of the state.

    LOL,

When I first read the thread title, I thought "What?! Hell, only because they have too!"

...thankfully there are a few federal judges whose judgement has not yet been corrupted.

Federal law dictates the voter roles be kept accurate and up to date. Obama administrations fights legitimate attempts to do so. Go figger.

Well, we all know by now that he picks and chooses which federal laws he'll enforce or not enforce.....based on whether or not he likes it.

Here it is---my state is now asking for access to the database as well. I'm wondering if they will play a delay game with us. The Obama team does NOT like Texas.

"Texas officials plan to join a growing number of states across the country seeking access to a massive immigration database to check voter rolls for possible non-citizens, officials confirmed Wednesday.

Texas Secretary of State officials were drafting a letter Wednesday formally requesting access to the Department of Homeland Security database, which contains more than 100 million immigration records, said Rich Parsons, an agency spokesman.

Texas Secretary of State Esperanza “Hope” Andrade, an appointee of Republican Texas Gov. Rick Perry, is the latest GOP elections leader to request access to the database since Homeland Security officials last week granted Florida permission to use the database.
The Obama administration initially opposed granting Florida access, but relented after a judge ruled in the state’s favor on a separate issue related to its efforts to purge non-citizens from its voting rolls."

Sounds logical to me. A government entity should know who is or is not a US citizen, especially where voting is concerned.

I just think it is crazy that it took a court order and a federal judge to get the administration to hand over the information. You'd think that if they really care about democracy they wouldn't want anyone to have their vote nullified by an illegal voter.
