Thread: Get Ready for New Wave ( Product Purchase Mandate ) Washington Lobbyists...

  1. Default Get Ready for New Wave ( Product Purchase Mandate ) Washington Lobbyists...

So, with the new Justice Robert’s Supreme Court Decision giving credence and precedent to the concept of government mandated purchased as authorized by the constitution via its ability to create taxes, get ready for a whole new breed of Washington Lobbyists, the Mandate-My-Product-Lobbyist!

There is no more need to advertise, produce a desirable product, or even provide a real product or service at all, just get congress to produce a bill requiring all American Citizens to purchase your “Policy” and you can begin raking in the $$$ MONEY $$$ MONEY $$$ MONEY $$$!

Why this opens up whole new possibilities when it comes to Washington Lobbyist Corruption, it’s a Democrats Dream come true.

Soon, you’re entire paycheck for next month, and every paycheck you, your children, and even your unborn great grand children will ever earn will be spent before it is even tallied.

Why, there is no need to produce anything, just set up the account for receiving the money, and let Congress….

Oh, Wait, I mean, the Imperial President, set up the mandatory payment schedule!

Within ten years, the economy will have completely collapsed and the country will be in civil war, but what the hell, it will be sky high profit until the end!

    Childish blather.
No civilization ever collapsed because the poor had too much to eat.

They already do this, they have just been more careful with their labels in the past. They call them tax breaks our incentives instead of mandates, but based on the Supreme Court ruling, they are exactly the same thing.

No, I'm sorry, it is not the same.

In the past, they set a tax rate based on your base income, and what was left after the taxes was yours to spend as you wish.

Unless you fell into the "Rich" income category ( which I'll admit, they keep defining to be a lower and lower income, in an economy where a dollar buys less...), Political Realities kept them from taking more than half.

So, you had your half of each paycheck, which you controlled how it was spent, and the government's half, which Liberals decided how it was spent.

The Roberts Ruling says, leave Democrats in power, and the Liberals now get to decide how BOTH halves get spent.

It is NOT the same thing at all.

The Obamacare ruling was that it functions as a tax. It works exactly the same as the education tax credit, the efficient vehicle credits or any similar tax incentives - if you have insurance you'll pay a lower rate than people of similar income levels who don't have insurance.

So if I drive a pickup truck (which I use to run a construction business), and Obama and the Liberals have deemed that I should be driving an electric sedan, they can simply evoke the "Tax" privilege of Government to take away so much of my as yet untaxed income, that I am FORCED by economic necessity to try to run my construction business from an electric sedan.

You're either missing, or ignoring the point of the OP.

This new Robert's Ruling changes EVERYTHING!

In the past, there was the money which government took from your paycheck, which then government decided how it was spent, and we called those monies TAXES.

But the remaining money was yours to spend as you wished. The Government could not MANDATE that you bought a particular product, service, or amorphous "Insurance Policy", or face even higher taxes.

Yes, you might get a tax break, reducing the portion of the total you would otherwise pay, but it did not affect the portion of your income you kept after taxation.

The Robert's Ruling effectively states that government has the right to decide how you spend the money NOT Taxed away outright, or "Special Punishment Taxes" will take any away money you didn't let them decide how to spend for you.

The Government will now control the purchase decisions of both the money you pay as taxes as well as the money you keep. It gives the government control over the entire paycheck!

It effectively puts ALL purchasing decision power in the hands of government.

This goes far beyond a move toward Socialism; this is a vaguely veiled move toward outright Communism.

Utter twaddle. You can take a tax deduction now for the expense of using your truck in your business. If you are using it for beer runs on the weekend, you are costing the rest of us money as the weight of your absurdly large vehicle breaks the tarmac over frost pockets on your street, pollutes the strom runoff that gets into the local creek, thus into the seafood supply and all the other annoying things that personal vehicles the size of a main battle tank can do.

There is a social and ecconomic advantage to the country if people are able to buy vehicles that are less harmful, thus it is in the public interest to subsidize their production and distribution. This can be funded by taxing the recreatiional polluters and the income earned by the top executives and shareholders of the auto companies which fall outside the range that they would expect to make without the subsidies. (They still come out better off because it will employ more people who can then buy more cars of whatever type, whether subsidized or not.)

You need to look at the world beyond the reach of your own arm, dude.

So, the money you take in before you pay for the fuel in your vehicle, the wages for your workers and your electric bill are yours to spend as you like? You don't need to pay for the sewer system or the inspectors who have to approve your building plans? You don't have to pay for the inspections that make sure your work place is safe? Interesting concept. Childish, but interesting.

Making sure that thereare resources inplace to help maintain public health is in the interest of everybody who does any sort of business in this country. There are thousands of people impoverished because they were denied the ability to buy health care insurance at any price, or were told to go away because they had already cost the insurance carrier too much money and they couldn't buy the CEO the best Leer jet. So the government had to require that they start selling to everyone. This, of course, only works if everyone is required to be in the pool. You need to pay more attention to how these things work. It is unacceptable that the sick be left to fend for themselves in a country this rich while fat pigs like Mittens the vulture get even fatter raiding the pension funds of working people.

You are not being required to buy anything that you do not need. You apparently need workers and customers. You need a healthy community. The only way this happens is if there is a mandatory pool to see that health care is available when it is needed whoever needs it. You are not being required to buyt anything you do not need. Get over yourself.
No civilization ever collapsed because the poor had too much to eat.
