Um, exactly how do you know that he lied? Have you seen romneys returns? He certainly isn't forthcoming, its as if he has something to hide. Of course many on the right buy his "they just want to find things to attack me on", which implies that they will find things.

I don't know and you don't know and until the candidate for POTUS stands up and demonstrates that he has nothing to hide, his hiding stuff is going to make a lot of people question his suitability to be the President. Finding out after his election that the President lied about something personal and damaging isn't the same as Yahoo firing Scott Thompson - and he only lied about his academic credentials and the board could fire him immediately - which they did. Doesn't quite work that way with POTUS>

The way Mitt Romney is running for president feels as if he thinks that the people voting for him are too stupid to actually care about the issues he's running on. That's why he hasn't detailed anything about his life or what he would actually do as president. He assumes his constituents can't think critically enough to care.

The IRS wouldn't go after him if it was legal, which it undoubtedly could be knowing the current tax code.
