I have never seen Ryan be anything but candid and respectful...it's no wonder politicians on both sides of the aisle enjoy working with him and can find compromises.

Strategically, Ryan will help in the battleground state of Wisconsin. And more importantly, he crystallizes the choices facing voters. I personally believe that Ryan's proposals for Medicare vouchers and privatized Social Security are EXTREMELY ill-advised (and not for some "oh, we can't do that to the poor!" reason, but rather for common-sense economic reasons...I may post on that later), but at least I respect Paul Ryan as a politician with a clear set of values who is willing to honestly tell people what his plans are.
May I point out quickly that BOTH Romney AND Ryan have stressed that none of the PROPOSED changes to either SS or Medicare would affect anyone over the age of 55?! By contrast, Libocrat Obama has already gutted Medicare funding by ONE HALF TRILLION DOLLARS to fund his socialized medicine scheme that we on the Right curse as "Obamacare". Now, who has a "clear set of values"?

And none of the cuts democrats did affect anyone at all. They are administration cuts that made the program more efficient. Not cut coverage like Ryan's plan does.

It's disingenuous to point out the $700 billion cut to Medicare under "Obamacare", because Ryan not only approved those cuts but would also include them in his own proposal. As far as the Ryan plan not effecting anyone over 55, indirectly it will, because if people under 55 aren't covered, insurance premiums across the board will rise since insurance companies will (rightly) suspect that only the sicker pools of people are applying for private insurance. It's known as the "adverse selection" effect. However, I do agree that it's cheap politics for Obama or any other democrats to be using Ryan's plan to scare senior citizens.

You're saying that Comrade Obama's HALF-TRILLION DOLLAR gutting of our EARNED Medicare progra involved cuts to "administrative" aspects only? Brother, that ain't the way I heard it! Not even the slouching ruin of "civil service" government "workers" could blow a half-trillion dollars on admin in anything! Got a link to any credible source showing that the horrific Obama raid on Medicare would only cut "paper shuffling"? (This ought to be enlightening....)

So you have to mix insurance and government program to make up false accusations?

That's what the whole debate is about!!! The health insurance market. Government isn't proposing that politicians become doctors or anything. The government Medicare, Medicaid and Obamacare programs are all about health insurance. There is no mixing for false accusations...that's what's being discussed.

Wrong. Obamacare is about government taking over the healthcare industry
