I appreciate the support that Obama's been getting from many, but I don't like how a good number of people are saying that he's no more than a hope giver, as if he's been doing nothing but preaching sermons. What Obama has been speaking of, his idea of a necessary "change" is more than hope, the reality of Obama's prioritized "change" ideology is quite evident. It's evident in La where many blacks and latinos are seperated by crime. It's evident in the economy where men and woman are failing to prosper because of gender, racial or religion discrimination. It's evident in big cities where many fail to find homes because of again gender, racial or religion discrimination, it's evident in the trade system where we are decieved by greed, and it's evident in the white house where lies prosper and the issues of only part of our society get prioritized. Obama's not perfect, but I do believe that as president he would showcase what it takes to turn the hope that he has given his followers into a reality.
Thanks for reading. Don't forget to vote! Last edited by klouddsurfer; 01-31-2008 at 02:53 PM. |

Seems to me, we'll find out tonight (in just about two hours), if Obama has anything of real substance.
Hillary's gonna drive to the issues, and Obama's gonna have to EDIT or get off the pot. I think (I hope), we're gonna hear that toilet flushing. But ah.... "live performance", right? Yeah, I think we'll find out "a lot", tonight. This is gonna be great - one on one. This is definitely gonna be a challenge for Barack, but I think he's up to it. Hillary's been doing this for 35 years, you know. She knows her game, and she's very good at it. She'd actually be a pretty good Prez, if she wasn't such a weasel. And some other time o'year, I might even be willing to overlook that (for "one" term, just to get the benefit of her expertise) - but not now. "Now", is not the right time, to overlook that kinda thing. But yeah, I wanna see 'substance" out of Obama tonight. That's the "number one" thing I'll be looking for. He's got to deliver the real stuff. If he doesn't do that, then all else is moot. The attacks... meh... we'll see how he plays that. But he's got to deliver the substance, that part is mandatory. Must be wild, huh, having half a billion eyes on you, all at once (that's approximately the viewership, all over the world, on these debates). Piano recital..... I've done 8,000 once in Tokyo, and that, was like the first fifteen seconds of a friggin' speedball to the neck, so I can imagine what a Presidential debate must be like, "from the other side"..... Good stuff. hmm..... gotta go check the fridge...... popcorn.... beer.... yep, it's all there. I'm ready. Last edited by SenaxFlatulus; 01-31-2008 at 10:38 PM. non, obama suggested that he was looking for some contrast in a vp... who knows.
that obama is just a bunch of hope speech is silly. so far he seems to have been the most practical candidate in the entire race, imo. he was against the war when it mattered, and he told them so... hope is clinton giving bush the okay to hit iraq and expecting him to use his best judgment. hope is thinking you can stay in iraq indefinitely and see success come out of what started due to a lapse in judgment. well, thats more like false hope, but you see what i mean. repubs are the hope party right now, the sunshine party. obama keeps it real. clinton at least has regrets, although she refuses to admit she was ever mistaken.

In the debate he spent most of the time asking the audience questions in long drawn out speechs about how we are all wonderful Democrats.
We must ask ourselves..no dumby they are asking YOU and have been. Obama didn't deliver nearly as well as Hillary did. Oh on Obama being left of Clinton... Quote:
To which his campaign commented..we're not that bad! Quote:

He loses to McCain.
Whats going to be interesting is seeing how many of the McCain supporting lefties on this forum actually holds to their routines when Hillary is the obvious nomination for the Democrats. I know why doesn't MoveOn come out with a full page ad endorsing Obama in the NYTs!..I'm sure that will help! "We have a fib to tell you!...its the Truth(tm)!" ///// Obama gave long winded platitiudes during the debate Hillary actually gave answers. He's an Illusionist. ![]() Last edited by DuH2; 01-31-2008 at 07:46 PM. |

none of the repubs have a chance against obama. hillary would probably beat the repubs, too. mccain is too old and offers nothing new, romney offers the same and hes just weak.
