Default dream ticket?

What do you think about a Clinton-Obama ticket?

Some Dems, are calling this, the "Dream Ticket".

Others, don't see it that way.

What do you think?

Do you think it has any chance of happening?

If it does, do you think it has any chance of winning?

Obama-Hilliary will win. Hilliary-Obama may not. Any ticket will beat Ken (I mean Romney). I think the first would beat McCain, the second may not. And for the Dems, yes, it's a dream ticket.

i think the emphasis people have on their race and gender is sickening. people shouldn't vote for them because of their race or gender, and they shouldn't not vote for them because of their race or gender.

Clinton and Obama together would greatly drain my enthusiasm for Obama. It's already somewhat disturbing that he's getting DLC endorsements. Is he playing them or are they playing him?
And I don't think I'm alone in thinking too much closeness with the likes of Clinton will stain Obama. He may reach that point where he loses touch with the middle class sooner than expected if he gets too close.

Obama-Richardson... Now that would be a winning combo!
Hell, even Hillary and Richardson might work.
I think Richardson actually adds to a ticket... and he's in that weird middle ground where he's both establishment and not.

Yes, excellent point, Java. I'm gettin' that same input from a "lot" of people (mostly the smart ones)...

Yeah, Richardson would be good. He's a good cat. Knows a lot about a lot, too. Plus - border governor, right? Bring in the latino vote? Indian vote? Southern vote, even?

Yep. I like it. I think you're right. Richardson is a very logical choice, and a good one too.

Don't forget that Richardson is also pro-gun. That's a big decider for states like mine where even the Democrats hunt.

Obama and Hillary truly hate each other's guts - it's extremly unlikely, although one must remember that was true of John F. Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson, and they won in 1960.

I guess that's as good a way as any to phrase it. I was just thinking
it would tarnish Obama. Whether Hillary were to win or lose the election,
I have a feeling there will be tarnishing. Sort of like when Colin Powell
allowed his otherwise excellent reputation to be forever damaged by
his association with Bush and Company.

If Hillary gets the nom, I'd just as soon see Obama stay in the Senate
until the next election. He is still really young. But, I'm really hoping
it's a moot point and he is the Candidate and I don't think there's a snowballs
chance that Hillary would accept the VP spot. I don't think there's much
chance she'd be offerred it either.

Reagan-Bush as well. I think Richardson would be a good choice. I actually like him. One of the very few D's I like. Not hijacked by the left wing like Obama and others.
