Maybe verbally, but in terms of action (meaning voting record) he is the most liberal member of the senate.

I must say I'm surprised to find democrats bothered by Obama's short record and it gives me more faith in the group.

How many others exactly?
I must say I've heard this said more often about Clinton, as she is anathema to many independents.
If you agree with Clinton's policies, it makes no sense at all to vote for McCain over Obama. And no one has yet given me anything concrete about how Clinton's "experience" is important.

If experience was so important to you guys why didn't you pick Biden or Richardson or Dodd... hell, I think even Kucinich has more experience!

A president can make up for experience with experienced advisors.
There's no way to make up for being convinced you know everything about everything just because you lived in the white house for a few years.

Obama is not prepared to be President. He is the Senate voter who has THE MOST Liberal voting record, and Conservative Democrats will abandon hm on or around March 3rd when the Rezko trial starts. His campaign based on cleaning up politics will be exposed as a lie. Conservative Democrats will abandon him anyway, we are fed up with the far left hi-jacking our Party and nominating losers like Kerry and Obama. His near nomination is a direct and overcompensating reaction to Bush and his 8 years. Not all Democrats are far left wing nuts who vote with their "hearts". Some of us think about what would actually be better for our country. If it comes down to McCain vs. Obama...I will PROUDLY vote McCain. Never have I supported a Republican nominee before, however after the Kerry fiasco our party refuses to change, they push a further left agaenda and are abandoning those of us who are more centered.

Obama is a nation alright...Abomination!

It will be an interesting election if Obama gets it. Half the dems will vote McCain and many conservatives will vote against McCain. Tho I'm not sure how many would vote Obama. Ann Coulter has committed to Hillary but won't commit to Obama.

Who knows who would win under such circumstances?

Wow. It's really getting complicated:

* Some republicans (like Ann Coulter) plan to vote for Hillary (but not Obama)
* Some republicans will vote for either just to spite McCain,
* Some dems will vote for McCain if Obama is nominee
* Some dems will not vote at all if Obama is nominee
* And ThinkBeforeYouVote will vote for McCain to beat Clinton or Obama but
if it looks like McCain will win, withold his vote?? I didn't even understand this last one!
