Default The Obama nightmare

You dems think Bush spent too much money? Well grab your wallets, because Obama is going to be spending yours, your children's, and your grand children's money trying to save the world.

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.p...w&pageId=56405

Obama bill: $845 billion
more for global poverty
Democrat sponsors act OK'd by Senate panel
that would cost 0.7% of gross national product

Show me in the Constitution where the government has the authority to make US citizens pay a world tax.

All we have to do as citizens is simply refuse to pay it, regardless of the legislation.

I believe the corrupt democrats will go beyond the limits to garner your money, it's what they do, that's how they exist. Mark my words, this is only the beginning, their entire mantra is, let's throw money at the problem and see if that fixes it. I live in California, where that insanity happens daily, and the reason our deficit is so high here.

Con logic...

Spend trillions (yes trillions, the full projected cost of the war) on a war based on lies and that has killed hundreds of thousands. To cons that is patriotic moral and ethical and even a "good bargain."

But spending even a few billion on health care, education, maintenance for our crumbling infrastructure, a sane sustainable energy future... To a con all of those are "pork" all of those are immoral, all of those are bad ideas.

Obviously something is wrong with the cons priorities.

Is that all? Seems we should be killing more for that kind of money.

Of all the things you say, I find this to be the most compelling. I, on the other hand live in Idaho which is about as red a state as you can find. I've lived here for more than 30 years and have watched how the other end of the spectrum has served Idaho. As far as rural communities go, it appears that they have not been served well. Central Idaho is a bleak place mottled with monster corporate agriculture and conglomerate beef and pork yards. The towns that 15 years ago were quaint and thriving are now boarded up and faltering. It's really sad. Granted an undeniable part of this problem is globalization economics and not the fault of republican leadership, however they do bear responsibility for the deterioration of the family farm in favor of large business. They certainly bear responsibilty for underfunded primary and secondary education, and huge responsibilty for the immigration issues idaho is facing. It seems like there is a balance to be struck. No state is served well when it finds itself under-represented by the minority.

Sorry to take your thread off topic.

Yeah. Good luck with sending the IRS a blank tax form with "F#!* You!" written on the front.

Seriously though there isn't anything in the constitution saying the government can't give your tax money to other countries. The idea is that if Americans don't like it they shouldn't vote for those people.

This is actually really worrysome. We're talking about (if the link is right) an annual expenditure about ~60% of what the war costs. The difference is most of the war money is going right back into America(and is probably taxed as it comes back) whereas little of this money would just be gone. So the actual costs are probably similar.

The difference is that even for the neocons this war, at these levels, is supposed to be a temporary thing. And they believe it to be critical to the safety of the country. (And some might think we'll make the cash back on oil).

I don't know that what Obama is talking about is suppose to be temporary.

I also, and I think you PM me on this, have a house in Idaho, and compared to California, it is unbelievably more business friendly. Boise has made the top of the list in Forbes time and again as being the best place to do business. The social problems in California are an absolute nightmare. San Francisco alone has homeless numbering in the thousands, just waiting for their daily handout of food, drugs, needles, and condoms.

The irrational thought of trying to feed the world is insane, and can't be done with all the corruption from these dictatorial countries. I guess Obama has never watched the movie called 'Borders', with Angelina Jolie.

I was talking specifically about rural Idaho, less about Boise. Strangely, Boise proper and the Sun Valley area are the two areas in Idaho that are either balanced or lean left in Idaho.

I find your criticism of California really compelling.
