Default The Big Debate: Hillary's Last Chance?

After huge losses last night in Wisconsin and Hawaii, we may start to see what happens when the Clinton Camp is backed into a corner. Tomorrow night's debate should prove interesting.

Given that Obama's gift for oratory seems to depend somewhat on whether or not he's facing a teleprompter -- this may be Hillary's best opportunity to poke some holes in the veneer.

Will she go negative? I'm not one to believe all this "she can't say anything bad about him because he's black" -- I'm looking for both guns blazing.

Nonetheless, it's really not looking good for Hillary. It appears that Republicans and independents will be able to vote in the Democratic primaries of must-win states Texas and Ohio. That's not a good thing for Hillary.

From the Clinton Camp:

"We're going to draw the contrasts and make the comparisons and give the people of Ohio and Texas and the other states a real choice."

Hopefully for her sake this amounts to more than past "comparisons":
--We're both candidates for change, but I have 28 years experience making change
-- We need to make the choice between speeches or solutions
-- People need to choose between words and work, speeches don't put food on the table

Sorry Hillary -- you lost on likability, you better start making some important distinctions or you're gone.

Listen closely, that air sucking sound you hear is the last breaths of
Hillary's campaign. She's already gone, it will just take a while for her
to face it. Reality bites.

That whole likeability issue is getting hard for her to overcome at this point. Say what you want about the other issues with him, but Obama is likeable.

Very true -- by all accounts Republicans would maximize their chances in November if Hillary were nominated, but they seem to come out in droves in open primary states to vote Obama. They hate Hillary so much they prefer to run against a stronger candidate than open the possibility of Hillary as President.

Default Ah, here we go...

Looks like we may be debating something more substantive on Thursday than whether or not words are important:

Quote:
top strategist Mark Penn just told reporters that in the next two weeks Hillary Clinton will go after Barack Obama on the issue of who is better qualified to be commander-in-chief — and Penn suggested that Clinton would be a better commander of the nation's armed forces than both Obama and John McCain.
"The Republican nominee has extensive credibility in this area, and the Democrat is going to need to be commander-in-chief," Penn said. Obama has "relatively no experience in national security," Penn continued, an issue that "is going to be reflected in the debates that we have over the next couple of weeks."

why would being better with armed forces matter if hillary wants to leave iraq? i dont see how that position is going to favor her in any way if shes trying to play the antiwar angle. i havent found her to be that good in debates, i doubt she will win over people in another one.

ive found that determining the victor of a debate has more to do with how much of what one wants to hear is said, than how well the candidates argue their points. obama is better at making strong arguments in a clear and concise manner, clinton just likes to go on and on with her responses. if she plays the negative angle, shes going to come off the wrong way. i really think its uphill for her.

Hillary will win the debate. She always does.

But the sheep will continue to flock behind the Obama croud. That's what sheep do and we now have a sheep mentality among the Democratic voters.

As Tony Soprano would say: "What are ya gonna do?"

hillary has never won a debate against obama in my opinion. lets not forget that shes had edwards helping her before as well. edwards was a lot better at confusing onlookers into buying the obama attacks. clinton is not as talented in that regard.

check out the first 30 seconds of this clip. sound a little desperate? lol... apparently hillarys experience has made her pretty good at being a cheerleader for herself, haha.
