Moveon.org just called me!
Living in Texas, I am unaccustomed to anyone caring how I vote. Our primary usually is way after the decision is made, and we're pretty dark red as far as the general goes.
You can imagine my surprise when I got two phone calls from Michele Obama. I listened to the whole thing though I did not press 1 when she asked me to.
But tonight I heard from a real person. A sweet-voiced lady called and asked for my daughter. I asked who is calling. She said, "I'm a volunteer from moveon.org and I wanted to ask a few questions about the election." My first thought was disbelief that she had the nerve to admit it. I told her there are 6 voters in my household and she got very excited. "Oh! I'll just start with you!" I listened to everything she had to say, holding my breath most of the time to keep from bursting out laughing. She told me all about where and when to go caucus for Barack. Then she asked me would I be sure to tell my family and I said I would. She seemed like a nice enough lady. I'm sure I made her evening. She sure as heck made mine. I haven't laughed that hard in a month.
