Default Why does Louisiana Love David Duke?

As a former elected Louisiana politician, why do you think Duke is well liked and reveled as a man that Louisiana politicians look to when seeking advice in shutting Government handouts for blacks? Why is it that he is well like and now he is being sought out for his views on Barak Obama? Wolf Blitzer of CNN, which Duke ripped him apart in an interview over Israel last year, is suppose to have him as a guest this week. I wonder why the mainstream media wants his opinion? Louisiana sides with Duke in not supporting Barak and Michelle Obama.

Because he makes for a good, inflammatory news story?

If it bleeds, it leads. Doesn't mean they like or respect him.

As far as Louisiana electing him, I'd guess I'd say that it's because there are a lot of people who live there who agree with his racist views.

Interesting, who do they seek out when seeking advice in shutting Gov't handouts for whites?

The question is who is he being sought by?

Wouldn't be that need someone to make the case stronger for our support of Israel, who better to trot out than someone who is anti-semitic.

Uh, Newsflash they don't.

Really? Is that why Sen. Obama won the Democratic Primary in Louisiana because they don't like him.

in the other thread started by the same klucker, super bad said something that made me stop and think. the kkk is a terrorist organization. why hasn't our government - which professes a commitment to rooting out terrorism where ever it breeds - mobilized law enforcement to stamp out those terrorist kkk cells located across the nation?

Because the KKK no longer does anything that is terroristic! It's not a crime to hate black people. Hell, it's not a crime to hate America, either. If the KKK were to start lynching or burning homes and businesses again (or threaten to) I'm sure the government would crack down. All they are now is a bunch of rednecks who sit around the woods complaining about blacks and Jews while spitting tobacco juice and cleaning guns. That's not terror. It's sad.

True.

There are separatist groups like the one that the Oklahoma City bombers belonged to, that are white supremacist and are engaged in terror, but these days, the KKK is the equivalent of PETA.

That's because they don't get naked women to parade around with signs saying "I'd rather go naked than have an interracial marriage!"

The KKK does need a new ad campaign. Some celebrity endorsements maybe. White people in cages.

Though let's not overstate the fact. He has won an election exactly once, in 1989, to the Lousiana legislature. His last campaign, in 1999, he pulled in just 19 percent of the Republican primary vote.
