Default Iowa Rep King says that if Obama is elected

Al Queda will be "dancing in the streets. " said Congressman Steve King of Iowa. He also said that becasue of the Obma "visual" and the Obama middle name Al Queda will be very happy to have Obama as pesident.

Will this sorry excuse for a congressman influence people into not voting for Obama or will this bommarang ?

I want McCain to win but I do not want him to win if people like Congressman Steve King of Iowa have to make racist and/or untfrue statements. McCAIN an win on his ecord and his character he does not need crap faced congressmen such as Steve King of Iowa to talk filth!!!!!

Sen. Obama just has to get his armor on, because in the coming months they are going to turn up the heat with asinine statments and garbage just like this.

What would the morons like him to change his name to? Clarence Thomas.

"I don't want to disparage anyone because of their, their race, their ethnicity, their name - whatever their religion their father, father might have been," King said just before doing just that.

"I'll just say this that when you think about the optics of a Barack Obama potentially getting elected President of the United States -- and I mean, what does this look like to the rest of the world? What does it look like to the world of Islam?

"And I will tell you that, if he is elected president, then the, the radical Islamists, the, the al-Qaida, and the radical Islamists and their supporters, will be dancing in the streets in greater numbers than they did on September 11….

This is nothing more than racist rhetoric. Were they dancing in the streets when he was elected to the US Senate? The good thing though is most Americans can see right through that garbage.

I think he's right too. What does his statement have to do with race anyway????

It's the "image" that someone with a Muslim-sounding name will be President of the United States. You don't think that will make al Qaeda and other Muslim extremists happy?

Apart from that image---there's also the FACT that Obama has stated he'll have our troops out of Iraq within 16 months-----regardless. You don't think that will make al Qaeda and other Muslim extremists happy?

You'd best "think again."

Quote:
In one section of the video, an interviewer asks al-Zawahiri to comment on legislation that ties the funding of U.S. forces in Iraq and Afghanistan to a timetable for withdrawal from Iraq.

"This bill reflects American failure and frustration," says al-Zawahiri, second-in-command to Osama bin Laden. "However, this bill will deprive us of the opportunity to destroy the American forces which we have caught in a historic trap.

"We ask Allah that they only get out of it after losing 200 to 300 hundred thousand killed, in order that we give the spillers of blood in Washington and Europe an unforgettable lesson, which will motivate them to review their entire doctrinal and moral system which produced their historic criminal Crusader-Zionist entity," al-Zawahiri says.
no need for hypotheticals. should we leave now since they said they want us there until we lose 200,000 to 300,000 troops? we dont want them to have their way, do we?

I hope he has big holes in the sides of his helmet...those ears need a lot of breathing room.

How about 'Skippy'?

Actually, I think he should stop whining about his name and correctly identify himself as Barack Hussein Obama. That will take all the sting out of his opponents usage of his muslim name......maybe.

Clarence Thomas.
No, that won't help him maintain the black vote. Blacks think of Thomas as an 'Uncle Tom'... to quote your favorite disparaging term of successful blacks.

Agreed.

This is just another pathetic attempt to disparage Senator Obama, by the people who need to distract from the fact their misadventures and poor leadership have only proliferated terrorism.

I apologize as an Iowan for the idiots in Western Iowa who vote for this clown. Steve King is going after the idiot vote and based on some responses to this thread he has succeeded. When Obama is elected I think I'll find this thread and ask for apologies.

Default uses code words such as Obama's "optics". Optics means visual

Congressman King is using the racist card when he uses code words such as Obama's "optics". Optics means visual and anyone can see with their optical system that Obama is Afro-American". Congressman King is scaring people who are possibly on the fence. As I said before I do not like using the politics of fear and racism.
