First off, the largest segments of the democratic party are white women and black people. In many southern states, Black Democrats make up half of the primary voters, so yes it does help to be either Black or a Woman in the Democratic primary. However, the national election is different and independent voters may not want to vote for a Black person or Woman.
Jesse Jackson and other Blacks, and Women have run for the nomination before and have not won, so Race or Gender can only take you so far. Black voters will likely stay home than vote. Enthusiasm is what brings people off the couches and into the voting booths. People generally don't vote out of spite. They vote out of fear or enthusiasm. If the GOP put a black person in the VP spot, Black could go GOP, but there really is no reason why they would want to vote GOP just to spite the Democrats. I could see more White women willing to vote GOP if Hillary loses. Generally speaking, voter participation is low and many college kids will stay home if Obama loses. I think you have a really anti-Black bias. Obama's race helps him in the Democratic primary, but its not the only reason he is attracting huge crowds. Al Sharpton ran in 2004 and he didn't get large crowds. Also, Obama is half-black/half-white and it allows him to attract both white and black audiences who approve of inter-racial marriages. Obama has a lot of political talent, like Bill Clinton or JFK. There is also a lot of Anti-Hillary sentiment in the Democratic party due to her Iraq war vote, etc. There are a lot of talented Black individuals who have succeeded like Michael Jordan, Bill Cosby, Tiger Woods. As far as the media being racist it is a dubious statement because if America is over 70% white, then there will always naturally be a greater focus on issues concerning white-Americans. Most minorities realize that they are Minorities in America and wealth and power is held by White Americans. Its not that the media is anti-Black, but that it just wants to appeal to the larger wealthier white audience. Quote:

sigh. i'm getting a little sick of black people being everywhere. I just don't care anymore about the whole civil rights thing >.> people talk about it constantly, i'm in a political science class that's extremely liberal, and i have to write a paper on a movie about love and hate of black people. the movie was good, but the paper is going to be crap.

Surely your political party has a final solution for that problem.

So according to your logic from this point on no one can run for POTUS unless they were in a war and a POW.
