Default Kerry's lawyers trying to block advertisement

Kerry's lawyers sent out a general letter to all T.V. stations regarding the showing of the advertisement from the Swift Boat Operators for the Truth about John Kerry.

In an attempt to discourage showing the advertisement, the Kerry lawyer's threatened the T.V. stations with liable should they show the ad. This infuriated one liberal T.V. executive. He stated he checked on the credibility of some of these vets, & stated there is no way that John Kerry's lawyers are going to stop him from showing this advertisement on his station.

It's funny, how President Bush has been attacked by about 50 different books, the 9/11 Mocumentary, etc., etc., & has really never said a word about them, & if so, only in a joking manner.

He learned from President Reagan: "If it's not TRUE, ignore it.!"

Default Let us help save the word 'maybe', endangered in your post.

Maybe Bush has a feeling that if you don't give any of your attackers any of your time, then less people will pay attention to there accusations, regardless of their truth.

And maybe Kerry knows that in the situation he is in, there are many people who will automatically believe anything deragatory about you, regardless of the truth of it.

Default They are doing this because of the high esteem...

in which they hold the right of free speech.

Quote from Kerry, yesterday:

"In three months, they won't be able to chant."

(in reference to bush supporters protesting outside one of his campaign stops)....

hrm.

I've already posted (over on the OTHER "DNC lawyers" thread) that I think the legal bit is a dumb thing to do.

But c'mon, Catz, be fair. I can't find the quote you're referring to through a google search, but are you really trying to imply that he's saying "in three months I'll muzzle them"?

I'll bet you a public apology that he's saying, "in three months I'll have won, and they won't be able to chant support for Bush anymore because he will have lost."

You don't do your credibility any favors with posts like that.
