Obama can't win the general election because when it comes down to it, white folks will not vote for him the way they claim. It's already happening. The ones who've shown support are starting to get scared it may really happen, and are retreating. This is quite eveident in the polls, regardless of the decline due to the preacher controversy.

My problem with Obama?

Well his stance on health care for one. Give me a minute here ok!

Now his stance on taxing those companies that send work overseas (kind of a good thing). Another minute please.

Now his stance on gutting our military. Keep waiting.

And he is of poor moral character.

So from the above.

Because he wants to require all companies, and businesses to pay health care for their employees (he does not put a cap on small business). So what do we have here? Big business will end up paying less by paying the higher tax on shipping jobs overseas because it will be cheaper than paying health care on employees here in the states (his health care plan says nothing about providing health care for overseas employees), while gutting the small business owner because while he is already struggling, he is now required to pay health care for Jimbob at the tire shop (good for Jimbob).

Now he has openly stated that he is planning on cutting defense spending. Meaning we will be gutted as we were during the Clinton administration in the 90s. That means they will lower the Tenure quote again, they will cut spending into our housing allowances, and spending into fixing the apartments we have been living in since the sixty's, they will also have less money to renovate the basic enlisted quarters (kind of like dorm rooms). This will be cut because he cut total spending. Why will this be cut when he cuts defense spending? Because we will still need rounds and weapons to train with, we will still need JP8 to fuel our trucks and birds, will will still have to pay civilian employees to keep base ops going. It is a complete cluster fork, and no good will come of it.

While I do not think he is a racist. I do see him being of poor moral character, because there is no way he sat in that church for twenty years and never heard the racist comments come from Wright's mouth. So he did hear it, you know he did. But because he lacked the moral courage to stand up and say "you know what? This is not right, and I refuse to sit and listen to it."
If he did hear it, and stayed anyway, then he obviously agreed with it.

Any smart American should have already noticed it. But judging from the polls, those Americans that are still voting for him have been overwhelmed by his rhetoric, and promises for change without every actually thinking about what he is talking about.

That is why I do not think he will be able to become president.
