That doesn't mean that one thinks they were right to attack us.

They attacked us because of the things we've done to them; or, at least, what they perceive us to have done to them.

That's not justification, that's being consistent with reality.
To justify is to give reasoning to back up the action. He even goes so far as to suggest that we shouldn't be indignant that it happened; as if we should feel that we deserved it.

You make a compelling point. However I would argue that the word prejudice fits better into the general category of hating a group of people based on race, ethnicity, religion, etc.

Ahh you got me. I should have worded it differently.
My statement that he disagreed with was this:
In America today, people that are black have been given many opportunities and social programs that other races have not been given.

I should have only put opportunities.
