Well, here's the thing, that I don't think is quite realized by those belaboring the race issue: Obama's speech transcended soundbites, and out of context truncations.

Yes, obama said "typical white person."

At this point, it means very little.

People either believe Obama, that race is a complicated issue in this country, and all sides need to reexamine...

Or, they think they can link up a truncated soundbite with his pastor's rhetoric to imply Obama is in some way racist.

The difference between the two groups is that the former group is concerned with the good of the country and the truth, the latter is just trying to smear.


Blade, you yourself said you don't think Obama is racist.

This is a rather petty game youre playing...

No, I don't think he is, I think his lapse was no more racism than McCain's referenced to his despised torturers. My point was the double standard.
