Default The Wright Effect

The effect is starting to sting.

The Wright Effect

SurveyUSA is out with polling in three states that looks ominous for Obama:

Ohio

McCain 44 - Clinton 50
McCain 50 - Obama 43

For Obama, it's a 17-point swing against him since the last SurveyUSA poll taken just three weeks ago, going up from up ten on McCain to down seven. Clinton has slipped four points over the same period but still leads McCain by six.

Quote:
Missouri

McCain 48 - Clinton 46
McCain 53 - Obama 39

Again, Obama's support slipped three points in Missouri while McCain's rose five, giving McCain a substantial 14-point lead. Over the same period Clinton picked up four points on McCain according to the SUSA survey.

Quote:
Kentucky

McCain 53 - Clinton 43
McCain 64 - Obama 28

Not that Kentucky was in any danger of going blue, but McCain's support jumped 10 points and Obama's dropped five in three weeks. Clinton's support remained steady, though she trails McCain by 10.
Quote:
These are the kind of numbers that will give the superdelegates nightmares. Given Obama's lead in the pledged delegates, the supers will face a tough decision should his general election prospects against McCain deteriorate.

Default PA -Dems don't like opposite.

Quote:
As Democratic Senators Barack Obama of Illinois and Hillary Clinton of New York slug it out for the nomination, many of their supporters -- at least in Pennsylvania, site of the next major primary -- aren't committed to the party's ticket in November, according to a Franklin & Marshall College Poll.

Among Obama supporters, 20 percent said they would vote for Sen. John McCain of Arizona, the Republican nominee, if Clinton beats their candidate for the nomination. Among Clinton supporters, 19 percent said they would support McCain in November if Obama is the Democratic nominee. (See poll)

The good thing for Obama is, that it happened this early in the race. I think this will wear off once the nominees are officially decided and the real race kicks off.

[left]How has Obama been allowed to almost get the Democratic nomination without being vetted, until ,the You Tube videos. One excuse is that Rev.Wright's quotes were taken out of context. This response is usually last refugeof the correctly quoted who can't think of a better way out. There is no waythose statements can be justified or become acceptable even if washed and diluted by six oceans of context . Another defense offered is that critics do not understand the black church . As Larry Elder ,a black talk show host said,"Rev.Wright sounds like a combinationof David Duke ,Minister Farrakhan, and Moe of the Three Stooges. This would be a scandal and an association that would wipe out most candidates ,but the mainstream media is acting as a campaign manager and cheerleader for Obama. In one of the great journalistic disgraces and failures in American history ,the mainstream media has allowed Obama to reach the brink of the nomination without any vetting until now

Clearly i do not support McCain "yet" but it appears his trip to Iraq has paid dividends in making him appear Presidential while Obama's favorable has hit his lowest as well as his unfavorable yet ! I think this has more to do with Wright then McCain in Iraq though . Hillary seems to be inching.....
