This is a man that DENOUNCED his military service.

This was a man who had a close and personal alliance with the treason queen herself (Hanoi Jane) who was herself infamous for BEFRIENDING the enemy.

This is a man who was the HEAD of the antiwar movement.

This is a man who not only embraced the idea, but called for men to DODGE the draft (ie. the call of the nation) and move to Canada.

This is a man who called for men to turn their back on their country.

This is a man that called combat "murder".

This is a man who now embraces what he once denounced and is now wants to be considered a war hero. (Even though he was never shot, never went into a hospital, but was given 5 "medals"...)

This is a man who once called his fellow war veterans baby killers, but is now proud that he himself killed while in combat.

This is a man that is despised by the veterans of foreign wars organization (but is now loved by SOCIALIST France and Italy)

This is a man who could become our president?

Although, if he were a real hero he would apologize for all the vile accusations he spewed trying to discredit his fellow veterans. Frankly, I think he is a flip flopping typical liberal. He never takes any responsibility for any wrongs he has committed but passes it on to his other vets who don't have the voice or medium to get their opinions out. Then when they do he threatens them. He is a piece of work. Nice pic

So, you are saying that he fought to "save our freedoms" but when he came home, he shouldn't be allowed to engage in the freedoms he helped to save? Very interesting logic there. Not very good logic, but interesting nonetheless.

As for "flip-flopping," non-brainwashed people call it "changing one's mind," which Kerry and Bush and Nader and the Pope and Madonna and I have done quite a few times in life.

As for Kerry changing his mind about military service, I would argue that that didn't happen at all. I imagine that Kerry didn't go to war excited about going to war, because anyone who harms someone without first being harmed is psychopathic. He went because he was told he needed to defend the country, and he believed in that idea. His experience in war taught him that what we were fighting for was not worth the lives that were being lost. So, what Kerry did, was honor his country and then, having learned from experience, continued to try to protect it. He understands war more than Bush or Cheney ever could because he was actually there, just like I know that going to college for music is pretty much a waste of time unless you want to be a concert musician. I would not expect someone who didn't go through that to understand it.

I have an apology to make. This is something I ordinarily don't do, but occasionally I admit to going over the edge. When I do, I'm a big enough man to admit that I have wronged and I will make apologies accordingly.

For example, when I compared JP5 to the woman who killed her kids in Texas, that was wrong. And I apologized to JP5, even though I think she is a right-wing nutcase. And when I told Therese she was -- oh I can't even remember, again, I apologized.

Now, as before, I have wronged and gotten too upset and now I must apologize again. I took it upon myself to call Livefrmtx a "complete idiot." This was unfair, and I want to give my apologies to idiots everywhere for making this comparison. I will try to be more restrained in the future. I only hope the idiots can forgive me.
