Who came out with that study? How did other talk shows rate? Or if Rush was the only one they have statistics on, could there be a bias reason for the study? How do they know how many listeners he has during his comercials as opposed to during his shows?

Maybe the reason the study shows this is when liberals find their co-workers listening to Rush they have to explain that they are only listening to him for the comercials so they don't get fired. Kinda like reading Playboy for the articles kinda thing.

Yes! This is one of the reasons why they are trying to regulate it.

The sad thing about Rush: there are enough undereducated and intellectual impotent people in this country allow his who to make money. This clearly proves the devastating effect of a underfunded education system (the worst K-12 school system of any developed nation).

Anybody who needs to listen to a show to have their backwards opinions reaffirmed each day doesn't have much self-confidence or ability to think independently.

An independent study by Pew Research showed that the listeners of Rush and O'Reilly have the most intelligent and best informed radio and television audiences in the country.

Limbaugh's audience is twice as smart as the national average.

Quote:
Knowledgeable News Audiences

News audiences vary widely in age, education, and how much they know about what's going on in the nation and the world. Most regular consumers of news are better informed, better educated, and older than the average American. But the audiences for some news sources stand out in this respect.

Judged by their answers to three news knowledge questions, the most informed audiences belong to the political magazines, Rush Limbaugh's radio show, the O'Reilly Factor, news magazines, and online news sources.

But we already knew that....

Yeah, because the smartest people need to remind themselves of how smart they are.

Notably, you didn't choose last years survey, which finds Limbaugh listeners to be less informed and educated than NPR and Daily show viewers, respectively.

Its a perfect slot for "painkillers" he could endorse them at the end of his show, "it started with backache, I then found adickto it worked for me, tell them rush sent you and get 10% off for quantity"

I love when liberals start whining about radio show hosts. They just refuse to believe that no one freely listens to liberal radio.

This is why liberals want that Farness Doctrine. It's not enough to try to promote their own liberal radio shows, or make them more appealing to listeners, they want to FORCE their way onto the ratings, and then call it "fair."

Maybe if they wanted to get their views heard on the radio, they could take a tip from Uncle Saddam, about how to get people to "want" to listen to them...
