As the election season heats up, quite obviously this forum is going to get busier. Please take a moment to think about the following before posting a new thread:

1) Is this topic new or has this story already been posted? Make a quick scan down the forum topics to be sure before posting a new thread. You may find that an existing thread will suit your purposes just fine. For instance, we probably don't need 6 threads on the Obama lapel pin controversy.

2) Do not post items that would be considered spam. Repeatedly posting the same topic and/or information is considered spam, and will be handled by the moderators.

3) As always, attacks on other posters are against forum rules. If you engage in personal insults, your posts will be edited and/or deleted, and you risk being suspended from this forum. I know that we have strong feelings, but please go after arguments, not other posters.

4) Please review the forum rules BEFORE posting to avoid any other issues.

Lastly, I'm sorry for the confusion and turmoil caused yesterday by my zeal to clean things up. It was not my intention to make it more difficult to post here, but rather, to eliminate some of the really excessive duplication in this area. Sorry for any offense and/or any way in which my obsessive cleaning frenzy disturbed any of you. We value all of you, from every part of the political spectrum, and we want everyone to feel comfortable posting here.
