Default North Carolina Republicans Join Operation Chaos: Roll Out Wright-Obama Ad

Source: http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2...ight-obama-ad/
[quote]Updated The North Carolina Republican Party is planning to roll out a television advertisement on Monday attacking a pair of Democrats running for governor in the state for endorsing Senator Barack Obama by playing a clip of his former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, excoriating the United States.

The release of the commercial, which Republican officials said would debut during 6 p.m. newscasts in the state on Monday, injects a potentially divisive racial element into the state’s upcoming Democratic presidential primary on May 6. (Our colleague Elisabeth Bumiller, reporting from the campaign trail, tells us that Senator John McCain denounced the ad this morning. He also just issued a letter urging the head of the state G.O.P. not to broadcast the ad. See Mr. McCain’s comments and text of the letter below.)

The advertisement features a narrator intoning, “For 20 years, Barack Obama sat in his pew, listening to his pastor.”

Then the advertisement cues up the clip that has become infamous at this point of Mr. Wright, who was Mr. Obama’s pastor at Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, preaching in 2003 and using an expletive when referring to the United States.

Seems to be working:

Latest North Carolina Polls:

Obama 50, Clinton 41

Earlier in the month, she was losing by 20+

Bye-bye Obama.

When you work for the party of hate (the Greedy Old People, aka GOP), going negative is the only thing you've got.

Talk about issues? Nope, the party of hate will keep on hating.

Do you hate gays? Do you hate poor people? Do you hate immigrants?

It doesn't matter: if you hate people, than the GOP is the party for you!

It's up to us, the educated segment of society, to reject this kind of BS.

Opps...I just fed the troll again....bad me!

The fact that obamo chooses to take spiritual counsel from a racist, terrorist sympathizing, America hating, multi millionaire hypocrit is indeed a 'real' issue.

Exactly. No matter how Barack spins it, it is a 'real' issue, among others in his controversial and suspicious connections.

You've been brainwashed by the media. Listen to Wright's sermons, in context, and you'll see he was actually quoting another person in the clips they showed throughout the media machine.

Wright is not anti-American, and neither is anybody else associated with Obama.

Don't let Fox new think for you! Check the facts yourself!

If anybody hates a particular group of Americans, it's the GOP. They hate gays, minorities, poor people, peace-lovers, and immigrants. If you fall under any of those categories, the GOP is working actively against your best interests.

So while Obama's friendship with Wright is questionable, McCain's union with the GOP is much more troubling (and anti-American, if you include ALL Americans, not just white Christians), if hating groups of Americans is a bad thing in your mind.

The GOP's voter based is primarily people who are filled with hate or fear for [name the minority group, it could be any of them]. And people who no longer hate will no longer be Republicans.
