The fight is so bitter and dirty right now, that I think that a strong majority of those who said they would go from Clinton to McCain are just making a statement. And then there is also Operation Chaos. Maybe they always have supported McCain. McCain and Clinton are pretty darn different. I can't see how one can support one and then switch to the other.
